Well, we are coming into the middle of summer!

While my overnight pet care tends to book well in advance, it doesn't mean I'm unavailable. I have cancelations, and time available in between the major holidays. Also, if you don't feel that you require the overnight stays, but drop-in visits would suffice, I can always add you to my schedule. If I am booked, I have people I trust I can refer to you.

Your pets' best friend is only a phone call, text, messenger, carrier pigeon, smoke signal away!!

My heart is broken tonight. A dear dog sitting friend relayed a story of a regular customer who decided to have somebody's daughter board her beautiful girl with her big dogs instead of having my friend do drop-in visits. The lady traveling received word her dog had a stroke and could no longer use her back legs. She has to come from other side of the world to take her dog to a vet, probably for euthanasia.

Here's the thing....

Strokes impact side to side, not front to back. It sounds more like a big dog injured her. With a spinal injury, timing is crucial. Steroids administered ASAP could make the difference in a dog recovering use of rear legs. Why was the dog not taken in to vet immediately ??

Accidents happen. But be accountable.
Rover.com has all sorts of people who will board your dog, but it is a science. Owning a dog does not mean you have the skills or the instincts needed to minimize risk for every interaction that might arise.

Please, people, expect more. Expect better. This is a sacred trust, and must be approached as such.

My heart breaks for the owner, the dog herself, and even the dog sitter who thinks anyone can do this...

These are most of my dogs! And these are the INCREDIBLE knuckle bones that are BOGO at Healthy Paws right now! I have NEVER seen an offering like these! People with little dogs, find a saw and quarter them!!

And look at this KONG WUBBA!! HUGE!! I CANNOT WAIT TO GO HOME AND RAIN CHRISTMAS ON OUR DOGS!!
