Today I was reminded of a time when I could just show up at the barn and spend countless hours with my horse. Today I wasn’t a horse trainer. Today I had no life struggles. Today I was just a girl with her horse and it was lovely ❤️

Rip is one of the best desensitizing tools for these young horses. On trail rides he enjoys disappearing and reappearing unexpectedly, chasing deer and other wildlife, and my personal favorite is when he emerges from the woods, causing the horses to believe a bear is approaching. Sometimes I’m convinced a bear is coming! All of these young horses benefit from his shenanigans!

These girls all had a tarp session today! Eclipse handled it like a normal horse, Tilly walked on it before she knew it was there and scared herself 😂 And I haven’t found one thing Vegas is phased by yet, if she can handle Carl, she can handle anything!

Ran out of daylight on my last baby today (Vegas) so she graduated to the big ring early! Not only did she not take advantage of wide open spaces, she witnessed and tolerated a knock down drag out fight between the alpacas! I mean I was scared lol So bravo young lady!

Sully has been an absolute dream in the arena but a complete chicken out of the arena 😂 So with the freezing temps this week, he has been roaming the property, coming across new and scary things he may see in his life and building his confidence!
