Lace is about 10 days out from her "due date". At this time, we are thinking she may wait until later in September, though we shall see.
Regardless of when it arrives, we are very much looking forward to meeting this grandget of Smart Little Lena AND Strait From Texas! Bay tobiano or tovero coming soon!

Dragon 🐉 ... is anything but. He's looking amazing and so chill as a young, 3-year-old stallion.
Today, Jeremy went to visit him for the first time since July last year, and it was also the first time we have been able to see him under saddle in person! Most of the day was spent just taking it all in, and the videos didn't really turn out very good. The downside of just being in the moment and trying not to watch it through a phone screen... so all we have to share are a couple shots from the arena videos along with a short clip (see comments in this post) of his warmup.
Bonus: Jeremy climbed in the saddle and walked him around for his cool-down afterwards!

Dragon is at the North Central Reined Cow Horse Association Summer Futurity & Derby this weekend with Gallentine Performance Horses. He is only entered into practice classes this time but we are feeling excited to see how he is progressing in the arena.
And I think we've officially lost our title as his #1 fan!

SweetPea is looking great this summer. We were thinking about retiring her after her 2025 foal, but then decided to give it one more try since we love this mare.
So she was exposed to Smart Delta for 2027.

Lace has really fit in so well since arriving nearly a year ago. She's 24 years young, short (MAYBE 13-1hh), and very laid back. We snagged a few updated photos today as she is approximately 300 days in foal and due around the first week of September. That's right... we still have one more foal expected this year in a little over one month!
We're very excited to see her foal by Smart Delta. 🤩

Kayla and Owen are excited to share our most recent mare to be confirmed in foal for 2027 is their riding mare Rhoda!

It took a little bit of try as she is a 13-year maiden but we appreciate when the teams behind stallions are so accommodating and easy to work with like the ownership and vets of Reysin On The Rocks!
We also need to shout out our repro team at Abraham's Equine Clinic for the excellent work they have done for us yet again this year.

But we're not done yet. Stay tuned for more breeding AND foaling updates to come!

We do have two 2024 APHA fillies that would love to find their person.

1) Raining Freckles - sorrel tobiano and Six Panel - N/N. NRCHA Cow Horse Incentive nominated. The time is now to get her started! Her late sire, RL Styling Rey, had much success in the show pen and produced numerous foals having success in many disciplines. Her dam side is no slouch either having several earning/producing horses up close including COLOR ME SMART and SHOTS FLYING SPARK. She does have one copy of MYHM so she is listed at a very reasonable 4,fiveOO or 0ffer to see if we can get her placed in a riding/show home situation.

2) Gee Bars Sugar - bay solid and Seven Panel - N/N. A lot of run breeding in this filly mixed with some cutting influence on top side and some all-around/foundation influence on the bottom. She was planned to be retained to replace her dam in our program but this year has brought us even more wonderful fillies and something has to give as we can't keep them all. 3,fiveOO or 0ffer, at least until we get some other young fillies moved.

Both are current on vaccinations, deworming, farrier and have a May 2026 Coggins in hand. Individual albums here on our page. We will happily schedule in-person visits or a live video conference with serious parties.

Gnat is still tiny as a bug, but she's definitely filling out that little frame. At three weeks, she can still easily walk under her [15-2hh] dam's belly! We're really happy with this cross and it'll require a premium, but feel free to inquire on this Seven Panel - N/N, champagne tobiano granddaughter of Smart Little Lena!

Note: she IS Paynt Points eligible. APHA missed that during her registration, but we called right away and they have it updated on their records system.
