Dazzle (by Gay Bar Drummer) is really growing on us. Not standoffish, just a little shy. We weren't sure how she would handle numerous trailering and breeding stocks for AI this year but she's handled it all very well. Hopefully her last trip to Abraham's Equine Clinic tomorrow and we will see the little black dot ⚫️ on ultrasound. 🤞

Rex is flying under the radar, and seems to have forgotten he's supposed to be in a gangly yearling phase right now. Take him and give him a job in a few years on cows, barrels, roping, or clean-up the competition at the weekend sorts with your friends.
Sired by Smart Delta and out of Gee Bars Tuff Chick (by Gee Bar Chick, track money-earner). Rex is showing to be the athletic freak this cross was meant to produce. This ain't one for your grandma.. only cowboys or cowgirls searching for a partner-in-crime need apply.

And yesterday's other addition:

Motor gave us a perfect little bay, homozygous tobiano FILLY with one blue eye sired by Ima Dirty White Boy! She is exactly what we ordered and a carbon copy of her dam! 🤩 Motor and filly are doing great so far. We are sending in hair to confirm if her agouti is Aa or AA as well as to determine her GBED status (dam is N/GB).

Well didn't quite get to 100 but we appreciate all who got the reactions to 80+. So we'll share one tonight and save the second for tomorrow sometime!

Introducing Dove 🕊
2026 APHA sorrel solid filly sired by Smart Delta, out of Raven. She is like Raven's mini-me in red. Smart Delta has been shy with that tobiano gene for us but Dove will still be in consideration for retention for the future of our program.

We did have the vet out to check her over as a precaution. A dose of antibiotics and we've been keeping a close eye on her for any changes. She's bright, alert, and continues to nurse well with good energy.

One was somewhat expected. One was not and will be monitored very closely the rest of today and tonight. But we had TWO foals arrive last night. Both are up on their own power. Both have nursed on their own power. Both are safely tucked in the barn.
