Bringing cats outdoors is a real struggle we don’t talk about enough. 🐱💉
On the second day of vaccination in Brgy. Bayugo, we saw something unforgettable: exhausted cat owners taking turns carrying crates—some old, some borrowed—just to get their cats vaccinated. One blue crate came back again and again, each time with different cats inside. That’s bayanihan in action. 🙌🏼
According to our Pet Pulse Insights, cats made up 36% of those registered before the activity—but only 28% of the total vaccinated pets were cats.
Why the drop? From what we observed on the ground, many cat owners didn’t have crates, carriers, or even an extra pair of hands to help bring their pets. It wasn’t that they didn’t care—it just wasn’t that simple.
While dog owners could simply leash their pets and walk to the site, cat owners had to carry crates, find help, or improvise. It wasn’t the easiest setup—but many still found a way to show up and get their cats vaccinated. 💉
