Fetch-A-Cure just completed its 14th year at Game Fair. Fetch-A-Cure is a dog game where they run down a hill, jump in the water, fetch a Dokken waterfowl dummy and return to their owner. The game is timed by a digital scoreboard. The five fastest dogs have a run off at the end of each day for a daily winner. All six daily winners return on the final Sunday of Game Fair to crown a overall Game Fair
Champion. The daily winners get a bag of Kinetic Dog Food and the overall Champion gets a years supply of Kinetic dog food.

The Four Points Retriever Club a division of NAHRA (North American Hunting Retriever Association) runs the event. Club members volunteer their time each day to run the event. Game Fair allows the club to donate ALL proceeds and donations to a cancer patient. Past recipients have been police officers, firefighters, veterans, and children. This years recipient is Sarah Mann a retired firefighter and currently working in the investigative field. Sarah was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma that has spread to her lymph nodes. Sarah is currently undergoing treatment.

This years daily winners were:
Lou Dessellier and Ode,
Megan Lee and Raven,
James Sturme and Lindy,
Joe Willen and Tilly,
Alexa Sather and Tucker,
Sarah Bridigare and Sutton.

The overall Champion was Louis Dessellier and his dog Ode taking home a years supply of Kinetic dog food. The fastest times are usually around 15 seconds. This year we raised $1394.00 for Sarah. We will present a check to her shortly.

I would like to thank the sponsors Game Fair, Kinetic Dog Food, Dokken Dead Fowl Trainers, and the Four Points Retriever Club. If you would like to donate to our recipient or help with the event next year contact Terry Strege Regional Director for NAHRA at 763-682-5624 or look us up at

The 44th annual Game Fair, held over two weekends August 8, 9, 10 and 15, 16, 17 in Ramsey, MN saw thousands of dogs enter through the front gates and walk the grounds. Many of those dogs participated in the various doggy games, including the five championship-qualifying games which are the Scurry, Goose Hunt, Obstacle Course, Long Jump (small dog and large dog). Daily winners took home a big bag of Eukanuba dog food and returned the final Sunday for the Championships.

In the championship round, those daily winners went in order of when they qualified, and the top three dogs took home a trophy. Second and third place was given a framed certificate while the champion gets a heavy, Minnesota-shaped trophy proclaiming their accomplishment.

Read the caption for each photograph for more specifics on each event and the final results. Thanks to ALL the dogs and their owners who came to Game Fair and participated in our doggy games.

Get Into the Great Outdoors at the 40th annual Game Fair held August 13, 14, 15 & 20, 21, 22 (2021)

It’s time to celebrate the great outdoors once again at the 40th annual Game Fair with a multitude of fun events, outdoors exhibitors, dogs of all shapes and sizes, along with plenty of delicious fair food. The six greatest days of summer takes place over two weekends on the spacious grounds of the Armstrong Ranch Kennels in Ramsey beginning August 13, 14, and 15 and continuing August 20, 21 and 22. Game Fair is the best location to see, try and buy the latest gear for the fall hunting seasions and learn from the nation’s leading experts.

There’s lots to see at Game Fair and there’s lots to do! This is a full participation event and visitors are encouraged to bring their shotgun (cased), their bow (cased), and their dog (leashed). There are events for adults, children, and dogs of all ages and abilities—including twice daily shotgun shooting exhibitions, dog events, archery, birds of prey, and dozens of daily seminars from national outdoors experts. Each year nearly 300 exhibitors, including dog trainers, hunting guides and retailers, come to Game Fair from across North America. We are also the nation’s largest gathering of Dog Clubs and Outdoor’s Clubs so you can meet and connect with others who share your outdoor passions.

Chuck and Loral I Delaney have hosted Game Fair every year at the Armstrong Ranch Kennels since the first one in 1982. Known as America’s Original Game Fair, the Delaney’s were first inspired to begin the tradition in the United States after a visit to England’s Game Fair in 1980. The event grows bigger and better each year, attracting millions in the process. Game Fair has been the launching point for many new products, personalities, and experts—it’s truly the place to be for outdoors lovers of all ages.

Game Fair is the only place where you can do it all. Highlights of the 2019 Game Fair include:
