I just learned of the sudden passing of one of my all time favorite pups that we had the true honor of being able to board regularly. I am absolutely heartbroken and I know his family is as well.

When Butch's parents came to us, they had been unable to successfully board Butch anywhere else for a long time, due to a history of aggression issues. I could see that the stress and fear they had about leaving him with others due to his behavior, had taken its toll on them. Having had multiple dogs with similar issues, I completely understood their apprehension and exhaustion. I have a special place in my heart for dogs with histories of aggression and for their parents who love them anyway.

When I first met Butch, he was muzzled responsibly for safety and had he not been I very likely would have been bitten in the face. But I LOVE a challenge and over time I gained his trust.

Butch went on to become one of my all time favorite pups I've ever had the pleasure of working with. We built a beautiful relationship and his parents were finally able to travel without having to worry about their baby.

Dogs like Butch are why I work in rescue and why I opened emBARK. Butch you were SUCH a good boy and you will be SO terribly missed. Thank you for trusting and loving me and allowing me into your family.

Hello all! In case you don't know us yet, we are a small dog boarding facility located on our farm in Ramsey Indiana. We specialize in large breed dogs, but we take all sizes, personality types, and breeds. We have yet to turn away any dog. Our runs are oversized indoor and outdoor runs. We have a play yard where we do individual play times each day (weather permitting).

We do our absolute best to be a fear-free and calm facility, so that we can house dogs that may not do well at other types of boarding facilities due to anxiety or other dog aggression. Many of our clients have dogs that can't board anywhere else, and now they won't board anywhere else!

We moved not too long ago from Charlestown, Indiana and are still in the process of getting our new location how we want it, so we are still a little bit of a work in progress. However, we are fully functional and taking new clients! We even offer pick up and drop off services for an additional fee!

We still have a run or two open during various times for spring break! But we fill up fast, so reserve your run today!

Hey all! I wanted to remind everyone that we have officially moved to our new location to 3800 Lost Creek Rd NW, Ramsey Indiana 47166!

We still have a long way to go to get it where we want it to be, but we are fully functional as is.
