Easy homemade dog cookies!
Want to make your dogs a sweet treat for Thanksgiving? Here's a recipe for my Harvest Hound Cookies - doggie approved, even if they have sensitive stomachs!
What you'll need:
3 Cups of old-fashioned rolled oats
2 Large Eggs
1 Cup pumpkin puree/100% Pumpkin (NOT pumpkin pie filling)
Directions:
- Combine the egg and pumpkin in a bowl and whisk together until smooth.
- Add the oats and mix until dough is formed
- I use a tablespoon measuring spoon to get the round shape for each cookie (this recipe makes about 3 dozen).
- Spread the cookies out on a baking mat or greased baking sheet (I use organic unrefined coconut oil)
- Bake on 325 until cookies are golden brown, about 20 mins
- Let cookies cool completely, transfer to an airtight container, and place in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. You can also freeze them for about 3 months.
