📢📣Falls Village Veterinary Hospital is enrolling cats diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) to evaluate an investigational product’s effectiveness and safety in managing it.📣📢

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is the leading cause of mortality in senior cats. Testing for CKD is important for all senior cats during their veterinary visits as the early stages of disease are often undetected. While there is currently no cure for CKD, we can help manage your cat’s condition and support their quality of life as the disease progresses. CKD is a progressive disease, meaning symptoms may worsen over time.

Signs that your cat may have CKD or that an existing condition may be progressing, include:
🐈Increased thirst
🐈Increased urination
🐈Fatigue and sleeping more
🐈Loss of appetite and weight loss
🐈Bad breath
🐈Decrease in coat quality (uneven or scruffy fur)

Eligible cats may receive up to 2 years of study-related procedures at no cost, including exams and blood & urine testing. They will also receive either the investigational treatment or a placebo once a month. It is important to note that even if your cat receives the placebo product, they will still receive appropriate veterinary care as determined by the study veterinarian to manage their CKD. You will observe your cat’s CKD signs at home and bring them for scheduled monthly visits so our veterinarian can monitor their progress.

Participants who complete the study may receive a $50 veterinary hospital credit for each monthly visit that can be used toward any service, including ongoing CKD care during and after the study.

To see if your cat qualifies for the study, contact us at (919)847-0141, mention the CKD Cat Study and ask to speak to a Clinical Trials Team Member.

One of the biggest perks of having your mom work here at Falls Village is all the new friends you get to make! Belle loves keeping her fellow pups company while their families are away. To make sure every playdate is a success, our kennel team keeps our playgroups small, matching them by energy levels and personalities. 🐾❤
