I miss you Toby so much everyday. This is so true. My heart still aches for you.😥

They tell you not to cry.

They tell you that it's just a dog, not a human being.

They tell you that the pain will be over.

They tell you that the animals don't know that they have to die.

They tell you that it's important not to let him suffer.

They tell you that you can have another one.

They tell you it's going to happen to you.

They tell you that there is more pain.

But they don't know how many times you've looked into your dog’s eyes.

They don't know how many times you and your dog have looked into darkness alone.

They don't know how many times your dog was the only one who was by your side.

They don't know how much fear you have
at night when you wake up with your grief.

They don't know how many times your dog slept near you.

They don't know how much you've changed since the dog has become a part of your life.

They don't know how many times you hugged him when he was sick.

They don't know how many times you've acted like you didn't see his hair getting whiter.

They don't know how many times you've talked to your dog, the only one who really hears.

They don't know that it was just your dog who knew you were in pain.

They don't know what it feels like to see your old dog trying to get up to say hello.

They don't know that if things went wrong, the only one who didn't go is your dog.

They don't know that your dog trusts you every moment of his life, even in the last.

They don't know how much your dog loved you and how it is enough for him to be happy, because you loved him.

They don't know that crying for a dog is one of the most noble, significant, true, purest and warmest things you can do.

They don't know when the last time you moved him with trouble... making sure it didn’t hurt him.

They don't know what it felt like to pet their face in the last moments of their life....

I love you Toby. I miss you so much!!!!!My heart is broken into a zillion pieces. The light is still on in the living room where you wanted to snuggle on the fluffy carpet that we bought you when you could not walk on the hardwood floor. There will always be a light on in my heart for you Toby. My handsome gentle sweet lovable baby. You and I are soul mates for life. It hurts so much. Even though my other babies are with me. there is a HUGE VOID in my life. I can't believe you are not with me. You were and always will be the love of my life.

There is nothing better for dog lovers than watching dogs play. However, dog owners can be confused about dog play. Are those dogs playing? Or are they fighting? Learning what to look for can help people to become comfortable with full on dog play. Normal play can look and sound ferocious. If you keep a close eye on your dog, make sure that all dogs are having fun and know what to watch for. You and your dog can then enjoy all the fun that dog play provides.

We are on our way for a walk. Notice the potty bags? loll I sound like a broke record, but I am crazy in love with my sweet boy. Everyone in my neighborhood loves my handsome guy. Toby get lots of loving on our daily walk around the neighborhood.

Happy Birthday To You Happy Birthday To You Happy Happy Birthday to you Toby Happy Birthday I LOVE YOU!! I am a couple of days late showing off my Birthday Boy's Celebration, I t has been One year since Toby came into my life and has brought me so much love and Joy that I cannot expressed into words how much he means to me. I would do anything for my sweet Toby. He means everything to me. Toby is the biggest sweetheart I know. Isn't he Gorgeous!! Thanks to Tina Musselwhite of Gormutts Bakery for the Beautiful and tasty birthday cake. Toby Loved it as well as my other babies.

I am so proud of Toby. He is officially a AKC Canine Good Citizens Graduate! As many of you know My husband found Toby in a ditch nearly a year ago. He had been hit by a car. His jaw was broken in half, A large canine tooth nearly pulled out of his mouth, and nerve damage to his left leg. He was hospitalized for weeks. When I first laid my eyes on him- I was beside myself. Devastated, hurt for this beautiful precious dog that was left for dead on he side of the road. I knew We had to act fast. With the support and advice of the Franklin County Humane Society We got Toby the help he needed.. I went to visit Toby everyday. There was an instant bond. A special love that comes from two hearts reaching out. I am crying as I write this. because Friends- I love Toby with all my heart. He is my special boy and my baby. A gift from God. Toby loves me unconditionally. In the hospital Toby would wag his tail and hobble over to lay his sweet head in my lap or sit his rump on my me as if to say- hold me. It was apparent from day one that we were meant for each other. Each day I came to visit, the staff would say to me that he doesn't act like this with any one else. Toby made the news last year. WTVD came out to Quail Corners Hospital to interview me. No one came forward to claim Toby. Toby and I were meant to be. Wished WTVD could do a story on Toby now. Happy Healthy and loves his family. If you happen to live in Durant Trails, you will spot Toby happily trotting down the street with four of his other pals and me beside him. Everyone knows Toby in my neighborhood. He happily greets everyone. He knows no strangers. We stop to visit a few special neighbors that loves to interact with him on a daily basis. Toby is a great dog. The Bestest!! He is my ambassador for Rescues. With love, understanding and real daily investment in your rescue- the possibilities are endless. Toby is a true AKC Canine Good Citizens. Next step - The Canine Community Canine. Most of all MY LOVE and MY Very BEST FRIEND!
