To our families who have purchased puppies from us:

I have a tough request that I’m not sure how to fill. I have a future potential puppy mom who has requested info from me to verify my legitimacy. This isn’t difficult but the references are. Here’s why, she would like past puppy customer references that she can verify are real. I get it, anyone can pretend to be real. So her request is that I give her references that she can go online and look up to be sure they are legit as well. I’m not sure how to go about this. Her request was to give her a contact that may be in a profession that she could find the office number online and call to be sure that person is real. Here is my delima. I screen every potential customer but when it comes to what YOU do for a living has NEVER been one of my questions. This is personal information that I never ask. If I know what you do or did for your career, it’s because it was brought up by you in conversation.

After thinking about this, I realize why it’s important to her to do her due diligence but at the same time, I can’t pry into your personal lives. So my post here is to ask for help from anyone willing. If you have purchased one of our pups, can easily be verified as a real person, and don’t mind being a reference, please let me know. I’ll give an example, say you own your own business, you speak with this person and say I own company X, look it up. I think that’s what she’s asking for. Or, I’m Dr so and so, I work at X office, look it up.

This is a new one for me. I do try to keep our info as genuine and transparent as possible but scammers are getting so good these days that it makes work even more difficult. Sad isn’t it?!

🌼 A Bittersweet Welcome 🌼

You just never know what’s going to happen when you breed animals. Some of my tiniest girls do amazing during labor and delivery, and sometimes even my bigger toy poodles—like Lemon—struggle more than expected.

Lemon looked like she was carrying half a dozen babies, but it turned out there were only three. Things don’t always go smoothly… and this was one of those times.

Every toy poodle breeder’s nightmare is seeing green discharge before a puppy is born, and sadly, that was the case with Lemon. She went to the vet two days ago for X-rays, bloodwork, and a sonogram. It looked like there were three large pups, but only one heartbeat was found. She wasn’t in labor, so we scheduled a C-section for the next morning—hoping she might still deliver naturally overnight.

Later that night, Lemon delivered two puppies on her own. One had passed before birth. The other came out strong and breathing—our little miracle girl. 💛

Yesterday morning, Lemon underwent a C-section to remove the third puppy, who had sadly already passed too.

So out of three expected tiny toy poodle puppies, only one survivor remains. But oh, what a fighter she is.

We named her Lumi, short for Lemon’s Miracle—because that’s exactly what she is. ✨
She’s already full of life, light, and love, and we’re so thankful this sweet baby girl made it here safely.

Welcome to the world, little Lumi. You are the light after the storm, and you already hold a very big place in our hearts. 💖

Sometimes the smallest toy poodles leave the deepest marks on our hearts. 🐾
