I commented on a post where OP was at a campsite with their dog on a tie-out - I should've known better 👇
They had disclosed to another commenter who suggested recall training their dog, that they were "working on" their dog's recall but it was a "work in progress"...
So I commented, kindly, if they were using effective dog training methods, their husky would be recall *trained* and they wouldn't need a tie out to contain their dog...
And the +R/FF/rewards-based enthusiasts didn't hesitate to troll me for commenting the **truth**
Its so sad to me that so many dog owners and enthusiasts have been convinced by rewards-based, positive reinforcement, and force free "dog trainers" that certain breeds are not intelligent enough or trainable enough to have bombproof recall and experience true off-leash freedom
When unreliable recall is really a reflection and limitation of the tools, techniques, and methods being taught
Don't be fooled... dogs are dogs, regardless of breed traits or characteristics
And they will come when called if you're training and raising them right ✅️
I've worked with dog moms all over the world to train their difficult dogs and not one have I had found a breed that can't be recall trained when you're using the right tools, techniques, and method to do it
➡️ Huskies, Beagles, and Hound dogs
➡️ Livestock Breeds
➡️ Herding breeds
➡️ Protection breeds
Breed has nothing to do with the ability to train reliable recall
And its not an excuse to hold your dog back from achieving its full potential by using more effective dog training methods
Bombproof recall isn't just for companion breeds like golden retrievers, labs, and doodles...
Bombproof recall and offleash freedom is for all dogs!
Don't let others limitations become your own
Find a good dog trainer who actually knows their stuff and can teach you without gatekeeping or sugar coating
A dog trainer who can help you understand how dogs actually think, feel, and behave instinctively as a canine
And get to work 💪🐕
