🛁 Bath day update. 🖤

The verdict was clear:

🚫 Dryer box: 0/10. Would not recommend. 🤗 Cuddles: Acceptable. 😸 Being clean and fluffy again: Worth it.

This sweet baby may not have enjoyed the process, but that little smile at the end says it all. Watching these kittens grow and develop their personalities is one of my favorite parts of breeding.

I took Jeremy for a walk today, but apparently the adventure was less important than making sure he got enough cuddles. 🖤

Sometimes I forget he's a cat and not a dog. Maine C**ns have the sweetest personalities. Jeremy is happiest when he's exploring the property, spending time with his people, and soaking up all the attention he can get. 🐾

Both Minnie and Minky had their cardiac echos completed and received normal results. ❤️

As preservation breeders, we believe health testing isn't optional—it's part of our responsibility to the breed and to every family who welcomes one of our kittens home.

Hip results just came back for Minky and we are thrilled — OFA Good! 🎉 For those who aren't familiar, OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) evaluates hip structure, and a Good rating means she's got solid, healthy joints. This is a requirement before any queen enters our breeding program.

Minky is a blue silver tabby who carries solid, which means we can look forward to black smoke kittens in her future litters — one of the most striking colors in the breed. Proud of this girl and so excited for what she'll bring to our lines! 🐾
