Pound Pals of Radford Pound Pals of Radford, Inc. is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on helping to place homeless animals in forever loving homes.

We receive no public funds and rely on tax-deductible donations. Instagram: Pound Pals places animals as companions in screened homes to ensure there is a good match between the animal and the family. We request a completed application and a home visit prior to adoption. We are happy to provide any information you need on Pound Pals animals, so feel free to ask.

Meet our newest little “pal,” Lucky. He didn’t start off too lucky, as he was wandering in a busy street, skinny , dehydrated, and afraid. His luck changed when kind people scooped him up, took him home, and provided him with vet care.
We are now waiting on the vet assessment but know with the TLC he is receiving, his luck (and health) will continue to improve.
He will be available for adoption once he’s healthy again.

We have great news! Pearl, Flora, Boone, and Fauna have all been adopted! And we couldn't be happier for them! Fauna and Boone were adopted together, which is especially exciting. Also, Daphne will join her new home on August 10. Don't worry--we'll have more kitties available for adoption, but are thrilled to have these in wonderful forever homes. NOW, let's get JOJI adopted--he's such a sweet big lug with a smile always on his face. Please share him and get him the new home he too deserves!

Huckabee, who was adopted in 2008, recently passed away after living the best life.

We are truly grateful to his family for giving him the life he and every animal deserves. Below is a note from the family. He is pictured with his "niece" Gertie.

Hi Pound Pals Family,

My mom wanted me to reach out. In December of 2008 my sister and I joined my mom for a drive to Redford from Charleston, WV to adopt a new kitty, “King Henry”. We renamed him Huck and quickly took to calling him Huckabee. This morning after the longest and best kitty life, my brother and I joined mom in saying the hardest goodbye to the greatest cat. We estimate that he was around 20 years old - and I can assure you that the 18 he spent with my mom more than made up for any struggles he had before he was rescued.

Thank you, from the very bottom of my heart, for bringing this cat into her life. We lost my dad in 2023, and I know that Huckabee’s continued presence and love helped lighten the load of grief so much.
