I’m hoping someone can help me with a problem I have. My problem is I don’t own enough poodles lol.

I need someone with a standard poodle or doodle with course coat who wants this trim done on their dog. I get to do this fun trim and you get an adorable dog and 20% off your grooming. I’ll be looking to book this appointment the 3rd-4th week of June.

I went to a grooming conference in Houston back in 2002 and had a lot of fun. That’s when I really got to see grooming contests and was intrigued. Life kept me busy and I never made the time or effort to go to another. A few years ago I decided to start checking boxes on my bucket list and decided to try a competition. So glad I did. It’s always so much fun and I am thankful for being in such a supportive industry that makes them fun. This past weekend I completed my 11th competition!

Today I received my show photos from Ren at Animal Photography and I am very happy with them. One thing I have been working on is fixing Stella’s topline (terrible swayback on her) and looking at these photos I’m finally happy with my after photo because it looks so much better than last years!

I didn’t participate in creative duo at RW GroomX this year. I had a lot of fun last year but it’s too much for my mental and physical capabilities. They did have solo creative which is a presentation not on stage grooming but I’m not sure that’s a task I want to take on yet, maybe next year. Personally I prefer the salon creative which is what you mostly see on Magnolia 🤍🐩🤍. It’s something I can do in the salon in a grooming day. Extreme creative is hours and hours over a period of time with final prep the day of the show. As you can see from the photos here this is amazing talent that is so fun to look at. I love the different designs. I wish I had more good photos of the event but I was super busy all weekend.

We love that you refer us to your friends and family and even strangers. However I do want to clarify a few things for new clients who are looking into groomers.

We do not shave some breeds unless medically necessary- aka recommended by your veterinarian… these breeds include but are not limited to German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers , Malamute , Pomeranians, Great Pyrenees, Anatolian Shepherds, Shetland Sheepdogs , Border collies etc. For those breeds we do dead coat removal and some trim work in the sanitary areas and feet. We also limit “summer cuts” on dogs that show symptoms of alopecia or other conditions that affects skin and coat growth. if you have questions send us a photo of your pets coat or stop by with you dog for a free consultation.

I had so much fun with my model dog for the RW GroomX model dog contest. I was thinking I should do this more and just my luck I won 2nd place and also won a model dog!! How cool is that. What’s fun about this design is this is something I can do on a real dog in the salon.

Creative fun at RW GroomX yesterday. This is called Abstract and Magnolia 🤍🐩🤍 loves it. I had fun with it too. The products are all non toxic. There were some great entries in this and even some cats, which is what has Magnolia’s attention. There is a presentation portion and I’ll post a video. Magnolia 🤍🐩🤍 was all for that. She had a lot of fun and does amazingly well for having such a big day. She really should have been born into a show dog body but since she wasn’t this is the best I can do for her lol

I didn’t have an electric table and had to stand in my tippy toes a few times but Magnolia 🤍🐩🤍 is no longer depressed. Shes been acting weird the last two weeks. Shes so pretty now. Make sure you tell her as much when you see her.

Busy day RW GroomX. This afternoon she is getting another grooming session with some fun stuff for Abstract. No idea what I’m going to do yet but I do have lots of glitter and jewels so it should be fun regardless! And I’m going to definitely blend that line more 🤦‍♀️ one downfall of poorly bred poodles is swayback and I try to hide it. Also, the indoor lighting made her look yellow…
