🐾 Big Puppy Milestone! 🐾

At about 3½ weeks old, our puppies get their first taste of puppy gruel! This is an exciting step in their development as they begin the transition from nursing only to exploring solid foods.

Our puppy gruel is made by softening high quality puppy food into a warm, soupy mixture that is easy for their little mouths and tummies to handle. The first few meals are usually lend more to discovery and play than mealtime, with puppies walking through the bowl, wearing it on their faces, and occasionally remembering to eat it! 😆

Introducing puppy gruel helps puppies:
🐾 Learn to eat from a bowl
🐾 Begin the weaning process
🐾 Develop independence
🐾 Get extra nutrition to support healthy growth

Mom is still doing most of the feeding at this age, but over the next few weeks the puppies will gradually eat more puppy food and rely less on nursing.

At 3 weeks of age, our puppies get an upgrade! We give them more space and introduce a litter box filled with alfalfa pellets to encourage them to potty away from their sleeping and play area. This early introduction helps lay the foundation for easier potty training as they grow.

All 13 puppies (9 girls and 4 boys) from our Goldendoodle litter are growing fast!

Our chocolate lab babies are already 2 and a half weeks old! Their eyes are open, and they are starting to explore the world around them. We have 7 girls and 4 boys, and the fun is just beginning! The next 6 weeks will be filled with lots of growing, playing, and personality changes. We cannot wait to watch these sweet babies grow! 🐾
