PLEASE HEAR ME OUT… I would love to share with you a little about what we do. Our goal is to keep dogs with special needs out of shelters. Four years ago, we had a pup born with a congenital bone disorder. I named her Diva Mae. The vet recommended we consider euthanizing because of her condition. That was a very difficult decision. She seemed healthy but, she just could not walk. I began feeding h

er with a dropper, and then moved onto a bottle, and later a bowl. Specialist were amazed by her perky attitude and walking development by her next appointment! She inspired me so much that I decided to help other dogs with disabilities or in abusive situations. We did not have the funds on our own to support this level of rescue, because we are privately owned and not government funded. So, I decided proceeds made from all of my artwork, face painting, and flipped furniture would go directly toward rescuing dogs who could not help themselves. I call it Paint 4 Paws. We became a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and 100% of any proceeds goes towards rehabilitating and caring for our rescued dogs. You'll often see us set up at craft shows, fairs and festivals. If you do please stop by and say hi and let me know you follow us. I have been a E911 Dispatcher for the past 23 years. My co-workers knows my passion for animals, so we remain on-call when dogs are left in bad situations. One of the most incredible impacts is seeing how others have begun to spring into action also, and help us rescue animals in need. Together, we have rehabilitated abandoned dogs, abused dogs, handicapped dogs, starving dogs, parvo pups, and dogs involved in criminal activity. We work with our rescued dogs in a home environment to develop trust, safety, and nutrition until they are healed, confident, and ready to be placed in their forever homes. Their fees are almost always free to vetted and approved homes. We go through between 350-500 lbs. of dog food a week. We are always in need of food, bowls, towels, blankets, cleaning supplies, toys, beds, training gear, crates and treats. There are several ways that you can help us fulfill our mission. Remember donations are tax deductible! I cannot express our gratitude for any help that you may provide. Our EIN is available upon request. PayPal [email protected]

UPDATE ADOPTED!! ♥️

Morning Pack! 🐾

Say hello to Venus!! She is a 2.5 year old German Shepherd. She’s a good girl and looking for her forever home. She’s friendly, but deals with anxiety from time to time. Also has tummy issues if fed human food. She’s spayed, house trained and up to date on vaccinations. Venus gets along with most animals and humans, and loves staying active. So if you’re lazy Venus is not the dog for you. She would do well with someone who is familiar with working dogs.

A fenced in yard or a place for exercise is required and Absolutely no chains or tie outs. Venus is free of charge to an approved home. But, of course donations are always needed. We are a Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and 100% proceeds goes to rescue. UPDATE…. ADOPTED!! ♥️🐾

Hullo Hoomans! 🐾

My name is Jake! I’m a 3 year old American Bully. My hooman recently passed away and left me. I was his support dog, and he was my everything. I have lots of energy, I’m full of life, and I’m looking for my furever home!

I’m very friendly and do well with other dogs. I’ve not been around a lot of kids, but I like them. I don’t like cats or small critters. I would do well with someone who is familiar with my breed, and understanding that I’m starting over.

I’ve had obedience training, house broken, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations.

A fenced-in yard or a place for regular exercise is required to adopt me, and absolutely no chains or tie-outs—that’s no way to live. I am free of charge to an approved home, but donations are always appreciated to help the rescue continue saving dogs like me.

If you’re interested in adopting or fostering me, please message Thompson Tails for more details and/or to arrange a meet-and-greet!

We do our best to find the best match for both canine and human, and we’ll work with the distance whenever possible.

Let me tell you a story….

A year or so ago, we received a 911 call from a man who stated that he had just killed his wife. While reviewing prior calls from the residence, it was clear he had a long history of mental health struggles.

Moments later, without hesitation, he added, “I might as well kill myself too,” followed immediately by a gunshot.
I don’t think I will ever forget that sound.

When troopers arrived on scene, they found the caller deceased, sitting on the tailgate of his truck. Inside the residence, they located his wife, also deceased.

The only witness to the killings was a dog tied to a tree outside. With no way to runaway and a clear view of the entire incident. He showed signs of abuse himself. He had no food, no water, and no shelter.

Family members didn’t want him. They told officers to just take him to the shelter.

Instead, the supervisor on scene called me and said, “I can’t leave this dog here knowing what he just went through.”

A short time later, I met the Sergeant and a skinny, terrified dog with the complete loss of hope in his eyes. I named him Job… like the man from the Bible who endured more than most ever should.

How is Job ever supposed to unsee what he witnessed that day? 😔🐾

Job lived with us on the hill during his rehabilitation, and slowly we began to see progress. The fear softened. The hopelessness lifted.

One day, a man came to our home to meet him. It turns out he needed Job just as much as Job needed him, and Job was adopted.

A couple of days ago, on my way to work, I stopped to visit ol’ Job. I wondered if he would remember me. Honestly, I’m not sure that he did — but I think he recognized something familiar. Something safe.

Job is loved beyond measure now, and has a good life.

THANK YOU for adopting and for creating second chances.

Want to be a part of the mission? Help when you can.

Greetings Pack!! 🐾

Say hello to Mika! She is a 7.5 yr old german shepherd and she’s looking for her forever home. She’s very friendly and gets along well with other dogs, kids, and other animals. She is spayed, knows a few basic commands and has always lived outside. This is her mate, Nash. He is 8 yrs old and still thinks he’s a pup. He too is friendly and loves playing ball or frisbee. So if you’re looking for a little extra protection, they enjoy doing extra patrol around the property. We’d like to Keep Mika and Nash together if possible, but not mandatory.

A fenced in yard or a place for exercise is required and Absolutely NO chains or tie outs. Mika and Nash are free of charge to an approved home. But, of course donations are always needed to keep the rescue going. If you’re interested in adopting Or fostering Mika and/or Nash message us now for further details and/or to arrange a meet and greet!!

We do our best to find the most suited homes for both canine and human. So we’ll do our best to help with the distance to where you live. 🐾

A significant milestone for animal protection is taking effect in Florida as the state launches its first ever Animal Cruelty Offender Database 🐾⚖️

The new registry was introduced as a core part of Dexter’s Law, legislation signed by Governor Ron DeSantis to prevent known animal abusers from adopting or purchasing pets. Managed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the publicly searchable database lists individuals convicted of or who have pleaded guilty or no contest to animal cruelty offenses, giving shelters, rescues, and the public a vital screening tool before placing cats or dogs into new homes.

Why this matters is the powerful shift toward accountability. The law strengthens penalties for aggravated animal cruelty by applying a sentencing multiplier, increasing the likelihood of prison time, and ensures offenders remain visible on the registry for a decade. Supporters say the measure creates meaningful change by closing a long standing gap that allowed abusers to repeatedly access animals without oversight.

The law is named after Dexter, a four year old bulldog mix whose death shortly after adoption shocked the state and helped galvanize public support for reform. With the database now live, Florida has become only the second state in the country to implement a statewide animal abuser registry, following Tennessee.

As the registry begins operating across Florida, advocates say it represents remarkable progress in protecting vulnerable animals and restoring public trust in the adoption process, marking an important initiative in the ongoing effort to prevent cruelty before it happens.

She’s very friendly, mild mannered and gets along well with other dogs, kids, and other animals. She’s spayed, house trained and up to date on vaccinations. Mia enjoys car rides and just hanging out. She’s what we like to call a golden dog. Which is a perfect companion.

A fenced in yard or a place for exercise is required and Absolutely no chains or tie outs. Mia is free of charge to an approved home. But, of course donations are always needed.
