Papousek Ranch was established in 1976 by Richard Papousek, and has been specializing Black Angus since 2000. Marketed heifers are a mix of home raised and other top quality black angus heifers that are mostly same genetics as our home raised!

Updated post on the heifers left for sale!

90 AI’d heifers are due to calve March 15th. They were AI’d over a 3 day period to 4 different Schaack Angus bulls - Schaack Foundation 4325, Schaack Blueprint 0383, Schaack Hometown 2365, and Schaack Stingray 3019. The bull bred calving groups are as follows in 10 day calving periods.

AI - calve 3/15
90 head - 45 head left from a gate cut

Group 1 - Calve 3/30 to 4/9
31 head

Group 2 SOLD- Calve 4/10 to 4/19
5 head

Group 3 - Calve 4/20 to 4/30
16 head

Group 4 - Calve 5/1 to 5/9
12 head

All heifers have had ScourBos 4 and will be given ScourBos 9 before being sold. Heifers averaged 1220 to 1250 pounds when they got their ScourBos shot.
