This male German Shepherd was a found dog that so far no one has claimed. We have him in foster care and had him taken to the vet to get scanned for a microchip which he doesn't have one and vet said he was healthy but underweight. We had all his basic shots done and had a heartworm and lyme test done which was Negative. We still have to get him Neutered and microchipped but we were waiting to see if anyone came forward to claim him. We will hold another 7 days from today then he will be placed up for adoption after his Neuter.
He is about 2 years old
Seems house broken
Good on leash and very smart
Very friendly

We have had nonstop storms and we have 1 now going on so it's been hard to check messages and keep up on everything with power off for over 2 days then back on and now flickering again. Sorry if I don't reply but my main concern right now is safety for the dogs then when storm passes we will have alot of clean up to do.

We are still without power and have been trying to clean up what we can but storms keep rolling in and more are suppose to tomorrow and Friday. We are safe and all the dogs are safe and that's the main thing but it's going to be alot of work to clean and fix everything. Thank you all for your prayers.

We got hit bad today by the storm. We have alot of damage here at the rescue and more storms are suppose to be coming in.
Kennels have knocked down dog houses flipped, pool destroyed our RV ended up in the side of the carport and the pool. Our deck is damaged plus anything and everything that was on the deck furniture and all is destroyed. Siding off of house, garage door damaged roof damage on at least the new building dont know about house roof yet. Trees down everywhere and on top of kennels. Its a mess but the dogs and us are ok. Power is still out and my fenced in area for the dogs is down. Kennels are also down with several trees in them.

Owner moving into a apartment that wont let the dog go plus he is starting new job as a over the road truck driver. So needs a home for his German Shepherd and his cat.

Boo is 8 years old and about 120 pounds. She's good with people, kids, and other pets. She's completed offleash dog training when she was younger and responds well to basic commands. She is house trained and can be inside or outside. She is an excellent guard dog and a huge people pleaser, she will be on her best behavior for a treat. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines.

It’s easy to imagine her as the ultimate lake dog, spending sunny days swimming and playing by your side.

Cindy Crawford is looking for a home that can keep up with her zest for life—one that will embrace her playful spirit, give her plenty of exercise, and maybe even take her on a few water adventures.

On Monday, May 4, Indianapolis Animal Care Services (IACS) will close our current South Harding Street shelter as we transition into our brand new, state-of-the-art facility located at 5001 E. Raymond St. on the near southeast side!

This new shelter is more than twice the size of our current 24,000 sq. ft. space and represents a huge step forward in our mission to improve animal welfare across Indianapolis.
