Meet Nella 💕

At just one year old, Nella has already been a mama — and a wonderful one at that. She came to us pregnant, raised her kittens with love and care, and now it’s her turn to be the baby of someone’s family.

Nella is sweet, affectionate, and full of personality. She loves gentle attention, playtime, and curling up close for a good nap. She’s young, curious, and ready to enjoy life now that her mom duties are done.

She may do well with another cat after a proper introduction — she’s open to new friendships as long as it’s on her terms (we get it, Nella).

Nella's adoption fee is $225. If you would like to meet her, please visit the shelter Tuesday through Saturday 11 AM to 4 PM.

Meet Cayenne 🌶️

This 4 year old beauty is a gentle soul with a shy streak. Cayenne came from a home with lots of other cats, so she’d likely do well with a calm feline friend. She’s still learning to feel totally comfortable with people, but with time and patience, her sweet personality shines

A quiet home with a kind-hearted human (or two) and maybe another mellow cat could be just the recipe Cayenne needs to thrive.

Meet Frodo 🩶
This gentle soul is about 2 years old and currently feeling a bit overwhelmed by the shelter environment — and honestly, who can blame him? Frodo is a shy guy who just needs a little time, patience, and understanding to come out of his shell.

With the right home — quiet, calm, and full of kindness — Frodo has the potential to truly blossom. He’s lived with other cats before, so he may enjoy the company of a mellow feline friend. Dogs, however, are probably a bit too much for this sensitive boy.

If you believe in giving second chances and letting love grow slowly, Frodo is ready to begin his next chapter — one gentle pawstep at a time. 💫

It has been a BIG weekend in Quincy! QAS was happy to be part of the Zip Trip on Friday! Then on Saturday a bunch of QAS volunteers enjoyed the Dropkick Murphys show in Quincy Center. We were happy to see our friends, the championship winning New England Free Jacks, on stage! So much fun! Happy 400th Quincy!!

Poor Ringer had a severe urinary blockage and needed surgery. His surgery went well but he’s still not out of the woods! We’re so happy we were able to help Ringer, but he racked up a hefty bill. After using almost $7,000 of our budget we’re reaching out to you all for donations. Without these donations we aren’t able to help animals like Ringer when they have medical emergencies. If you’d like to help, please donate. You can do so on our website or directly at the shelter Tuesday-Saturday 11-4pm. 99 Quarry Street.
