Any dog can bite, so it’s good to remember to teach kids to ask permission to pet someone’s dog, avoid interacting when they are eating, and watch for signs of pain or fear as that makes bites more likely.
Dogs are awesome and usually give warning signs before they bite, so we humans need to listen.

🐣🚫 Easter Hazards for Pets – Stay Safe This Holiday! 🐾

Easter is a time for fun, family, and sweet treats—but some festive items can be dangerous or even deadly for pets. Here’s what to watch out for:

❌ Chocolate & Candy: Chocolate contains theobromine and caffeine, which are toxic to dogs and cats. Dark and baking chocolate are especially dangerous.
❌ Xylitol: This artificial sweetener, found in sugar-free candies and gum, can cause life-threatening low blood sugar and liver failure in dogs.
❌ Easter Grass & Decorations: Plastic grass, ribbons, and small toys can cause choking or life-threatening blockages if swallowed.
❌ Eggs (Plastic & Real): Real eggs left out too long can spoil, leading to salmonella risk if eaten. Broken plastic eggs can cause cuts or obstructions.
❌ Flowers & Plants: Lilies are extremely toxic to cats, even in small amounts. Daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths can also cause severe illness in pets.

🐾 Keep Your Pets Safe!

✔️ Keep candy, decorations, and small objects out of reach.
✔️ Dispose of wrappers and plastic Easter grass immediately.
✔️ Monitor your pets closely during egg hunts and gatherings.
✔️ Know the signs of toxicity—vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, drooling, seizures, or collapse.

When planning your planting and landscaping, please be aware of which plants should NOT be in your pets’ proximity - like lilies are terribly toxic to cats. No parts are safe - pollen, flower, bulb 🚫🐈

Please be aware of products you use in close proximity to pets and little children.
