This is how I feel when I think about Christmas being 2 weeks away. 🤪🎄
Our Paws’ Team (Dr Kristin and Becky) will be celebrating with family and therefore we will have limited office hours for the last 2 weeks of December. Please make a list and check it twice to ensure you have everything you need. We will be available all next week and just Mondays and Tuesdays only for the last 2 weeks.

Throwback Thursday 🎄 - Grigio was a real gift and like many cats, he loved playing in boxes and under the wrapping paper. Christmas always makes me extra nostalgic for all the animals I have loved and lost over the years. Do you have special holiday memories? Please share them in the comments ❤️🐾❤️

Here’s a great reminder of holiday plants that should stay far away from your cats. 😸🎄

Cats are naturally curious creatures, but some houseplants and flowers can pose serious risks to their health.

Here are some common plants that are toxic to cats:
1. Lilies: Extremely toxic and can cause kidney failure in cats, even from small exposures like licking pollen.
2. Mistletoe: Toxic to cats and can cause gastrointestinal upset and cardiovascular issues.
3. Poinsettia: Although often listed as toxic, it usually causes mild irritation rather than severe toxicity.

When thinking of holiday gifts be sure to consider pet safe plants instead.

If your cat is exposed to a toxic plant, contact your veterinarian immediately.

What a difference a week makes! Last Sunday I drove home through thick fog from a family funeral in Missouri. This Sunday the world is blanketed in snow with more on the way tomorrow. Weather does have a direct impact on how efficiently our housecall practice can serve and help families.
