Today was ride 30 for Thwinny boy

To think he went from completely unstarted, then being wary of the saddle on him (and getting over it immediately after seeing another horse with one on) and laying down multiple times on the third ride, to knowing how to upward and downward transition, back up, do hindquarters, bend arounds, and flexion, in 30 rides

My first time starting a c**t from unstarted to riding, outside of a structured class and without constant input from someone else on every ride

I just have to ramble a bit on why this is so important for me

After having rescue horses that I (as a 13-17 year old) have been so far unsuccessful in starting, I've carried that doubt, the doubt that I would ever be capable of taking one of my own horses through the process of unstarted to riding, with me

But I did it, and it's changed me

Next up, turning an ex bucking horse into a riding horse 😉
