There’s a reason we chose gently cooked over everything else.

Most commercial dry food is made through a high heat extrusion process — effective for shelf life, but tough on the natural nutrients, moisture, and texture of the ingredients going in. What’s stripped out in processing often has to be added back through synthetic vitamin and mineral premixes. That’s just the reality of how it’s made, and it’s worth knowing.
