If you’ve never loved an old English sheepdog (OES) you are missing out. The thing I love most about an OES is their playful goofy personality that is loving, loyal, affectionate, playful, and patient all qualities that make them wonderful family pets. Also did you know that Old English sheepdogs are long haired and don’t really shed? They have the personality of a nanny dog that watches out for their humans. Miss Indy is 👀 for a guardian 🏠. This sweet boy JJ got his second set of shots today. We have enjoyed keeping him around a little longer and loving on him while his new parents have been on vacation. He has been a dream puppy and has adapted to the crate sleeping 8-10 hours a night without disruption, using the doggy door and follows the big doggies out to go potty outside like a breeze. He loves being cradled on his back in your arms like a baby, fetching a ball and playing tug of war. We get just a few more days to snuggle him before he goes home.

I first have to say that I’ve been kind of quiet on social media recently because we have had one of the hardest weeks in our family ever. Our sweet Duchess passed over the rainbow bridge this week and we are all heartbroken. If only dogs could live as long as people. Duchess was our first family dog love and the best dog we could have ever had. She is our forever grandma dog, our Valentines puppy love (her birthday was on Valentines Day), and our 85 lb lapdog. She loved puppies so very much and every human she met for that matter. We’ll never have another girl like her and she is so deeply missed. If you have one of our puppies you most likely have a little piece of our Duchess and you should count yourself blessed. We are all still grieving her loss.

We would like to introduce you to this beautiful girl Indy. Indy will be joining our breeding program. Indy is a one year old purebred Old English Sheepdog. Many of the characteristic traits that we see and love in our sheepadoodle puppies come from the lovable, snuggly, people focused, playful, goofy old English sheepdog. Our Old English Sheepdog, Duchess, who started our breeding program has been a dog like no other that we have loved dearly and has been unlike any other dog we have had. Her loyal personality is the best. It was funny when we welcomed Indy into our home to see the specific breed personality traits that Indy has as well. Indy is very sweet and loves to sit by your side and keep you company. She is great with other dogs and great with kids. At this time we have a guardian home opportunity for sweet Indy. When you finally start sleeping in your crate all night long it’s a good morning. Our last three puppies who will be going home in the next couple weeks have slept all night long in their crates with no accidents and no crying for the last 3 nights in a row. It’s so nice when you finally cross that bridge of going all night and everyone can get the rest they need. Bringing home a puppy who is sleeping through the night takes so much stress off of the new puppy experience.

John B is the sweetest boy around. He has a perfect silky smooth wavy coat with beautiful tuxedo markings. John B is very smart and eager to please. He is one of the first puppies in the litter to come and sit nicely for a chin scratch and is a quiet observer but has a playful goofy demeanor. Who wants a sweet buddy to ride shotgun?
