Central Arizona Animal Rescue serves the community by rescuing, caring for, rehabilitating, and placing animals with new owners. Our commitment to spaying or neut

Lucy’s Search for a Forever Home: Could It Be You?
Hi there!
My name is Lucy, and I’ve been waiting a long time to find my forever home. I may not be the kind of pup who will immediately jump into your lap, but if you give me time, patience, and a gentle heart, I promise I’ll be the most loyal companion you could ever ask for.
I didn’t have the easiest start in life—I grew up among more than 140 dogs, it was not a very good situation, never knowing what it was like to be loved by a human. Finally, some nice people came and rescued me and the other dogs that I lived with from that place. It took me a while to learn that people can be kind, but I’ve come a long way! I still take my time warming up to strangers, but once I know you, I’ll wag my tail and let you give me some nice pets. Just don’t expect me to be a snuggle bug—I prefer to love in my own independent way!
What I do love? Other dogs! Big dogs, little dogs, young dogs, old dogs—I get along with them all. If you’ve already got a pup who needs a friend, I could be the perfect match! I also love going for walks and have learned how to walk on a leash, but living inside a home is still something I need help understanding. If you’re willing to teach me all the things I never got to learn as a puppy, I know I’ll get there.
Just a few important things to know:
No cats, please! I have a high prey drive and won’t be able to resist chasing one.
I am fully vetted! I’m vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped—ready to go!
I am a small girl! At only 30 pounds, I won’t take up too much space.
I like treats so if you want to earn my trust, bring yummie snacks!
I need patience and kindness. I’ve waited so long for a home—I just need someone willing to show me the way.
If you think we could be a perfect match, please reach out! E-mail mike@caaronline. org to set up a time to meet me.
If you are unable to adopt me, please share my video to help me find my forever home.
Could you be my forever family? I sure hope so!

MAGGIE now named ALYA found her new family. Her new bestie is Kazu, a Husky. They have been socializing and learning to share. ALYA has a secret signal to alert to bathroom breaks. Never had the need for stairs she is following Kazu as he teaches her.

“Thank you so much for taking care of her and letting us make her part of our family. ALYA is an absolute sweetheart, and we are looking forward to learning more about her over the years.”

¡Hola amigos!
My name is Darcy, and I'm your sweet sassy señorita with a heart as big as the Arizona desert!
I might be tiny (I mean, I’m a Chihuahua, what do you expect?), but I have plenty of love to give and dreams of finding my forever familia.
Here’s my story: I once roamed the streets of Yuma as a stray but I was picked up by a stranger and they took me to the pound. I waited for my previous family to come find me there. Sadly, they never showed up, but my spirit remained fuerte! Now, I’m here at Central Arizona Animal Rescue, ready to start a new chapter of my life—one filled with cuddles, snacks, and lots of amigos.
Let me tell you why I’m the perfect companion:
I am sweet as tres leches: I’m the definition of cariñosa! I’ll melt into your arms because being held is my favorite thing ever.
I am a social butterfly: I get along fantastically with other dogs and love niños of all ages! I might even give the gatos a chance (as long as they don’t mind me being the tiniest jefe).
I live a laid-back lifestyle: I’m not one of those overly active pups. A few short walks and spending lots of time on the couch, sharing snacks is my vibe. Netflix marathons, anyone?
I am ¡listo y saludable!: I’m spayed, microchipped, I am never getting lost again, and up to date on all my vaccines. I am healthy as can be.
I know life isn’t a fiesta every day, but with me, you’ll have a loyal compañera by your side through it all. So, if you’re looking for a little love wrapped up in a tiny furry package, email [email protected] to set up a meet-and-greet. I’m ready to dance into your heart and find my forever home today!
If you are unable to adopt me, please share my video to help me find my forever home.

Con mucho amor
