🌟 Technician Spotlight: Meet Dani! 🌟
We sat down with one of our amazing vet techs to get the inside scoop on life in emergency veterinary medicine! 🐾🧡💙

✨1. What inspired you to become a veterinary technician, especially in emergency medicine?
“Definitely having the opportunity to volunteer at a horse rescue at a very young age. Being involved in the care and healing of sick animals made a lasting impact on me - one that has stayed with me ever since. Then, when my childhood dog got sick, it only deepened my commitment to pursuing this career.”

✨2. What’s your favorite part of working in an emergency clinic?
“The variety of cases! I enjoy being able to learn new things and challenge myself!”

✨3. What’s one thing most people don’t know about being a vet tech?
“We are multitasking powerhouses. We are lab techs, phlebotomists, radiology techs, pharmacy techs, critical care nurses, anesthetists, and more all in one shift!”

✨4. If you were a dog or a cat, what breed would you be — and why?
“A Chihuahua! I’m small but mighty and full of energy!”

🐾🐶If you were a dog or cat, what breed would YOU be? Tell us below! 🐱🐾

✨1. Emergency vet life is pretty intense. What’s the one thing that always makes you smile, no matter how hectic the day gets?
“Honestly, it’s the support from my colleagues—whether it’s technicians, doctors, or our client service team. No matter how stressful things get, knowing we’re in it together always keeps me going.”

✨2. What is your “must-have” item or snack you can’t live without during a crazy shift?
“Pepsi Zero, hands down. I always keep at least one (or a backup stash!) for those extra hectic days.”

✨3. If you weren’t in the ER saving the day, what other wild job would you be doing?
“I’ve always had a passion for culinary arts, so I could definitely see myself working in a kitchen, creating new dishes and flavors.”

✨4. We all have our quirks - what is one thing about you that might surprise people?
“I almost always sit cross-legged—whether I’m on the floor during an exam or even in an office chair while typing up notes.”

✨5. After a long day of saving lives, how do you unwind?
“It really depends on the day. Sometimes it’s coming home to cook, or just relaxing on the couch with my cats and fiancé while binge-watching a new series. On days when I know I’m off tomorrow, I love exploring new restaurants around the valley—always open to recommendations!”

🌟 Patient Spotlight: Arya the Warrior! 🌟

Meet Arya — a sweet soul with a heart of gold and a spirit tougher than titanium! 💪🐾

After an accident left her disoriented and wobbly on her paws, Arya came to us for help. Our team jumped into action to quickly complete diagnostics and a head CT. With some TLC, intensive hospitalization, and the addition of hyperbaric oxygen therapy — this brave girl began her road to recovery.

Fast forward to today — Arya is walking tall, soaking up cuddles like a pro, and living her best life. 💕 She still rocks a slight head tilt, but we think it only adds to her charm and reminds us how strong she truly is. 🥹💫

Way to go, Arya — you’re paws-itively inspiring! 🐶❤️

🍁🎃 Harvest Festival Smile Day! 🎃🍁

Our team came together to celebrate fall—and it was gourd-geous! 💛✨

🎨 Pumpkins got a makeover during our painting contest (shoutout to our two creative champs who each scored a cozy basket filled with goodies!)
🍿 The snack table was stacked with kettle corn, pumpkin pie, and apple cider—aka the official flavors of fall 🍂
📸 And of course, we couldn’t resist snapping some photos at our festive fall backdrop!

It was the perfect recipe for laughter, creativity, and fall vibes. 🍁 Thank you to everyone who joined in and made the day so special! You all truly make our team the 💛

Pet Dental Health – Why is it so important? 🦷🐾

Just like us, pets need regular dental care to stay healthy—and bad breath isn't just a nuisance, it could be a warning sign. Dental disease is one of the most common (and most preventable!) issues in dogs and cats.

Here’s why it matters:

🦷 Dental disease can be painful. Pets can’t tell you when their mouth hurts, but signs like drooling, pawing at the face, or skipping meals are red flags.

💔 It affects more than their mouth. Untreated dental infections can travel through the bloodstream, harming the heart, kidneys, and liver.

🪥 It’s preventable! A little daily care goes a long way. Here's how to help:

Brush their teeth regularly with pet-safe toothpaste

Use approved dental chews and toys

Schedule annual dental exams and cleanings

✨ A healthy mouth = a healthier, happier life.

🔥☀️ Summer is Fun — But It Can Be Hazardous for Pets!
Long walks, lake days, and sunny BBQs are the best parts of summer — but they come with hidden dangers for our four-legged family members. Here’s what you need to know to keep your pet safe during the hottest months:

🌡 1. Hot Pavement
Pavement, asphalt, and sand heat up fast. A quick walk can lead to painful paw burns.
Tip: Place your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds. Too hot? Wait till it cools or walk during cooler hours.

🚗 2. Parked Cars Can Be Deadly
Even with the windows cracked, temperatures inside a car can rise to 120°F in minutes. Pets can suffer from heatstroke or worse.
Tip: Never leave your pet unattended in a vehicle — not even for “just a minute.”

💧 3. Dehydration & Heatstroke
Excessive panting, drooling, weakness, or vomiting could be signs of overheating.
Tip: Always offer plenty of fresh water and shade. Avoid intense activity during peak heat.

🦟 4. Fleas, Ticks, & Mosquitoes
Summer brings a surge in pests that can transmit disease or cause allergic reactions.
Tip: Stay current on flea/tick prevention and ask your vet about heartworm prevention (mosquito-borne!).

🍗 5. BBQ & Cookout Dangers
Leftovers like bones, corn cobs, or fatty meats can cause serious GI issues — even pancreatitis.
Tip: Politely ask guests not to share, and keep trash secured.

🌊 6. Water Safety
Not all dogs are natural swimmers, and even strong swimmers can tire quickly.
Tip: Use pet life jackets near pools or lakes. Always supervise.

🎇 7. Fireworks & Loud Noises
Fireworks can trigger extreme anxiety or panic in pets, leading to escape attempts or injury.
Tip: Keep pets indoors during firework events. Create a safe space and ask your vet about calming options if needed.

🐾 FINAL THOUGHT:
If it’s too hot, loud, or risky for a toddler — it’s too risky for your pet. Let’s keep them safe, happy, and hydrated all summer long.
