A little update on Mac! He’s doing great! Growing, learning and still just as sweet as ever! His eye pressure remains stable and so he’s just going to keep getting bigger until something changes with his eye or he’s big enough to have it removed by his regular Vet. Watch for some more fun shirts for sale to help pay for his future surgery. Big thanks to all who purchased his previous shirts! We are so grateful!
P.S. We will have a few more of the “Labrador Hair” shirts and some baked goods for sale at the Scottsdale shows.

Hello Friends! BIG thanks to all who purchased shirts to help with Mac’s medical expenses! His eye is currently stable, so we are just trying to let him grow up as much as possible before surgery. If you wanted a shirt and missed the cut off, I have a few extras. In Blue I have M-1, L-1, XL-1 and in Red L-1, XL-1. $25 + $3 for shipping. Message me if you’re interested.

Mac wants to thank everyone that purchased shirts to help cover his vet bills! We have an update… Mac went to the Ophthalmologist on Tuesday and it was good news! While the eye will still need to be removed at some point, the Dr was really happy with how it was looking. The pressure was good and the cloudiness had cleared up. She even said he has vision in it!! So we recheck the pressure on the 28th and as long as the pressure stays down, we can keep letting him grow up. The older he is, the less risky surgery is. Meanwhile, he is learning to sleep in his crate, potty outside, and he started learning “down”. He’s a smart and happy boy!

The purchase of a well-bred purebred did not sentence another dog to death.
The purchase of a well-bred purebred did not cause an increase in the number of dogs in shelter.
Someone wanting a dog with a predictable temperament from healthy lineage did not cause another dog to not get adopted.
Someone's meticulous research and support of only the most responsible of breeders is not the problem. It is not what you should be mad at. It is not what you should be pushing the blame onto.
I am not the one who brought these dogs into the world irresponsibly and left them in a shelter. Responsible breeders are not the ones who put dogs into shelters either.
It is my home, my life, and my choice of what kind of dog to bring into it. Maybe I needed a working dog, a sport dog, or simply a companion puppy to raise of a breed I enjoy. No matter the reason, the choice to support a reputable breeder did not send a shelter dog to its death.
A breeder who health tests, temperament tests, studies pedigrees, proves a dog worthy of being bred, and only breeds when doing so is of benefit to the breed is not contributing to the number of homeless dogs.
The number of homeless dogs in the world is a problem, but it is not a problem exacerbated by reputable breeders and those who purchase from them.
Your neighbor down the street who refuses to contain his unaltered dogs IS contributing to the problem.
Your friend who impulse bought a dog at Pet Land IS contributing to the problem.
That guy on Craigslist pumping out the trendiest designer mix as fast as he can IS contributing to the problem.
Your relative who just HAS to let their dog have one litter “so she can experience motherhood” or because “she’s just so sweet” IS contributing to the problem.
Your old high school classmate who bought a high energy working breed without taking the time to research its needs and realize it was not a good fit for their household ahead of time IS contributing to the problem.
A reputable breeder offers their lifelong support. A reputable breeder would never allow their dogs to end up in a shelter to begin with. A reputable breeder makes it a contractual obligation to return dogs they have produced back to them should you find yourself unable of keeping it.
It is understandable to be angry about the number of homeless dogs in the world, but if you take a deeper look, you will find your anger is misplaced.
If you take a deeper look, you will find reputable breeders and those of us who purchase from them are just as angry, we are just pointing fingers at the right causes.

This is my sweetest little pup Mac. He has had some unexpected vet bills due to a tumor of some kind in his right eye. The specialist doesn’t think it’s a hereditary issue, just something that happens sometimes. He will need the eye removed at some point. If you are a Labrador owner/lover and would like to purchase a shirt to help me cover those expenses, please message me with size and color. Shirts are $25 plus $3 for shipping. If you are interested in giving Mac a home, please let me know. He is free, but will have the surgery expense and possibly additional follow up expenses. Message me privately for more info.

So, I have had quite a few unexpected vet bills with the litter of pups I currently have. In order to pay those off I thought it would be fun to do some cute “Labrador” shirts. Hoping to add some other cute designs that are “dogs” in general so more in the dog community may want one. These shirts are super soft, Next Level CVC tees. Print will be white. Unisex sizing, but they are a bit more modern fit. (So the sleeves aren’t soooo huge!) $25 each plus $3 shipping. Please message or text me your order including quantity, color, and size. Orders will close Sunday night at midnight so we can get the order in first thing Monday morning! FEEL FREE TO SHARE WITH FRIENDS & OTHER LABRADOR LOVERS!!

Hi friends! This is Maverick. He is looking for a new place to call home. He is a 4 year old Weimaraner. He is neutered, potty trained, crate trained but definitely in need of more obedience training! He hasn’t been around young kids very much so I dont know how he is with young kids but he does great with older kids and teenagers. He is a people dog and definitely not an outdoor dog. He loves his people and loves to be with his family! He has a super cute personality and has lots of energy!
If you are interested in this big goofy boy, message me privately and I’ll put you in touch with his owner.

We have had a super year with the dogs, some nice wins in the show ring, some fun dock diving and fast cat competitions, and even learning some new things like scent work (and doing our first dog-friendly 5K)!!

Also very exciting, Truly is expecting puppies in a couple of weeks! We are looking forward to black and chocolate pups. This litter is already reserved, but if things change and there is availability, we will update here. (CH Tukee’s Talk Derby To Me “Cider” x Sinagua’s She Is Truly Scrumptious “Truly”)

If you are already part of the Sinagua Family, we would love to hear from you! We LOVE “pup”dates and pictures of our babies! Never feel like you’re bothering us!

Merry (belated) Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at Sinagua Labradors!!

Two weeks ago the Labrador Retriever Community was shattered by the passing of Tina Donahue of Quail Chase Labradors. On a personal level, Tina was a dear friend and mentor to me. I really don’t have words, only that the world was better with Tina in it! I wanted to post because I have been blessed and honored to carry the Quail Chase bloodlines in all of my dogs and our most recent litters were from their beloved Jolly and Titan. Tina personally came to my home (over an hour drive) and evaluated my “Jolly” litter to help me choose my “keeper” pups Winslow and Sedona. Tina was a warrior, battling cancer for over 13 years! You would never have guessed it when you met her though as she always had a smile and positive attitude. All of those who have one of our puppies share in carrying on the legacy that Tina built alongside her husband, Duke. If you are interested in sharing a note about your puppy or sending condolences to Duke and all those affiliated with Quail Chase Labradors, please comment here or send an email to [email protected]. I will compile a little book and send it to them. 😘 - Gayle
