This is a memorial piece for some dear friends whose brother passed away unexpectedly and far too young.
He was a guitarist and both brothers loved the band Tool. My husband is also a huge fan, so I took some inspiration from the song Parabola.
Do you see the little spirit man? He was naturally in the maple wood and I just added arms.
He's just perfect.

I'm a wood art creator. I carve and burnish designs into slabs, cutting boards, tables, dressers... anything made of wood.
I have a Foredom wood carver and a Colwood Olympiad Pyrography Tool. Pyrography...The term means "writing with fire", from the Greek pur (fire) and graphos (writing).
If you have a name or motif, I can replicate it.
I work freehand. These signs have a natural esthetic that doesn't come from laser printed work.
All original work.
These make fantastic gifts and a great pieces of interest that inspire conversation. They have a very personalized touch that any recipient recognizes the heart of.
Not just a sign, but an artwork.
Custom names and/or designs. For properties, a farm stand or advertisement for a shop front? Favorite scripture to bless your home? Chicken coop? Egg stand? A name for a child's bedroom? Pet's home or horse's stable? Old dresser need some individuality? Kitchen table need some love? Cutting board? Wooden spoon? Old wooden handled tool to mount on the wall of grandad's shop? Boat name? How about grandma's old fold out side table gets a funky mandala on it? Dad's man cave or Mom's kitchen..?

I feel like God is pushing me to be creative. I've been seeking inspiration for a long time after years of depression.
I'd love to be able to earn coin for what I love.
I got a long way today. I felt really inspired. More than I have in years. I wasn't planning on doing any detail in the lion, but it just happened. He even developed a natural eye and mask.
I'm just so happy with it! ❤🙏
