Buckingham Cavaliers From Our Home To Yours- Not Sacrificing Quality! Welcome

Welcome to Buckingham Cavaliers ! We are a small, hobby/show breeder in Southwest Florida.

Here at Buckingham Cavaliers, we strive to breed a happy, healthy, correct to the standard and of course-beautiful Cavalier. We have been in this beautiful breed for the last 11 years-but in the dog fancy world since 1990. All of our Cavaliers are house raised and well socialized-with my two daughters 16 & 24 year old and other types of pets (4 cats and horses). All of our Cavaliers are tested, w

ormed and vaccinated as per Dr. Jean Dodds protocol. We also believe in an all-natural diet. We feel our dogs deserve the best. All of our Cavaliers are at least registered with A.K.C. (American Kennel Club). They are also registered with: I.A.B.C.A. (International All Breed Association), U.K.C. (United Kennel Club), A.R.B.A. (American Rare Breed Association) and The Kennel Club in England. We do have all four colors but tend to show more with the Blenheims and Tri-color. We love to show-so we may have puppies/adults occasionally. If you are interested in a puppy/adult-PLEASE do your research and buy from a reputable breeder. All of our puppies come with a spay/neuter contract, (adults will be spayed/neutered before being placed in their new homes) and accompanied with their health certificates. We really care about our dogs and will screen people accordingly. For all of you looking for a great little companion-this breed is it !!

We were boarding the flight from Denver to Chicago. It had been a 72-hour deployment, and we were exhausted.
My partner, a Belgian Malinois named "Ranger," looked like a wreck. His fur was matted with grey dust, his paws were wrapped in vet tape, and yes, he smelled like wet ash and sweat. We took our seats in row 4.
A man in a suit in the aisle seat wrinkled his nose and flagged down a flight attendant.
"Is there any way to move me?" he groaned, waving a hand in front of his face. "This animal is filthy. It smells like a campfire. I paid for a clean seat, not a kennel."
Ranger was asleep before his head even hit the floorboard, twitching in a dream.
I felt the heat rise in my neck, but I kept my voice steady.
"He's not dirty because he's a stray, sir," I said. "That 'filth' is concrete dust and drywall."
The man rolled his eyes. "I don't care what—"
"He just spent three days crawling inside a collapsed parking garage," I interrupted. "That smell you hate? That’s the smell of the rubble where he found two people alive this morning."
The flight attendant stopped. She looked at the man, then down at Ranger.
"Actually, sir, I can move you," she smiled tightly. "But I’m upgrading the dog to First Class. He needs the legroom."
The passengers in row 5 started clapping. Ranger slept through the whole thing.
Respect the working dogs. They go where humans can't. 🇺🇸🐕‍🦺

I had just stepped out of Walmart when a man hurried up to me.
He looked anxious and asked,
“Can you please hold my dog for five minutes? I just need to grab something real quick for my mom. I’ll be right back.”
Of course, I said yes.
His Rottweiler sat calmly beside me — powerful, confident, and alert.
He didn’t bark.
He didn’t pull.
He just sat there in the bed of my truck, watching every single person walk out of the store…
waiting for the one person who never came back.
Five minutes turned into thirty.
Thirty turned into an hour.
It’s now been over two hours.
The man never returned.
I asked Walmart staff to check the security cameras.
They saw him arrive in an old white car — no license plate.
He left alone.
The Rottweiler never moved from my side.
Walmart couldn’t take responsibility for him, so I took this well-mannered boy straight to the vet.
No microchip.
No collar information.
No clues.
Just a well-built, properly trained Rottweiler —
a dog raised to trust humans without hesitation…
maybe a little too much.
Right now, he’s safe with me.
Fed.
Warm.
Loved.
If anyone recognizes this Rottweiler or knows who he belongs to, please message “Dog Bless You.”
Walmart has my contact details.
We are currently in Rendville, Ohio.
If no one comes forward within the next 10 days (before January 31, 2026), I’ll begin the legal process to officially adopt him.
Because loyalty like this doesn’t deserve abandonment.
And no soul — especially one this strong yet gentle — deserves to be left behind.

Last weekend, my wife and I stopped by a small-town adoption event just “to look.”
(You already know how that goes. 😅)

There were a bunch of dogs going absolutely feral in one big pen — barking, bouncing, auditioning for Cirque du Soleil.

My wife immediately locked eyes with a big German Shepherd puppy and said,
“THAT one. We have to meet that one.” 🐾❤️

We took him out for a walk and… wow.
Zero interest in us.
100% interest in everything else.
Dragging the leash like he had places to be and no time for humans. Absolute chaos. 😂

But while he was busy sniffing the entire county, I glanced back at the pen.

Every dog was still losing their mind…
except one chunky little German Shepherd mix sitting quietly in the corner.

No barking.
No jumping.
Just sitting there like a tiny old man, calmly judging everyone.

I asked about him.

The volunteer smiled and said,
“Oh, that’s Bruno. About three months old. Runt of the litter. Super chill. People keep passing him up because he’s ‘not very energetic.’”

We took him out.

He walked straight over…
and leaned against my leg like he had already signed the adoption papers. 🥹💙

That was it.
Decision made.

On the drive home, Bruno claimed the back seat like he’d been paying car insurance for years…
and fell asleep in the most unhinged position possible —
legs straight up, belly out, snoring like a grown man after Thanksgiving dinner. 😂

Not the loudest dog.
Not the flashiest dog.

But somehow… the one who chose us first.

And honestly?
I think he knew exactly what he was doing. 🐶💙

The HOA sent us three letters.
“Remove the dangerous animal from the premises or face fines.”
They cited “breed restrictions.”
They said a 70-pound black-and-tan Rottweiler named Ghost didn’t belong in a “family-friendly” neighborhood.
Neighbors crossed the street when they saw us.
Broad chest, powerful jaw, confident stance—one look and they decided he was a ticking time bomb.
Last Tuesday at 2:00 a.m., that “time bomb” went off.
But not in the way they imagined.
Ghost started slamming his body against our bedroom door, letting out a sharp, urgent warning bark I’d never heard before.
When I tried to calm him down, he gently took my wrist in his mouth and pulled.
A second later, I smelled it.
Gas.
A massive leak from the main line outside was seeping into the houses on our block.
Because Ghost woke us up, we got out.
We called 911.
We even woke up the same neighbors who wanted him gone.
The fire chief said if we had slept another hour, the entire block could have gone up in flames.
This morning, the HOA president left a box of treats at our door.
Apology accepted.
Not every “dangerous” dog is a threat—
some are silent heroes. 🚒🐾
