One of our local radio stations posted a list of organizations that will be closed on Wednesday & services that won’t be available — Juneteenth is a national holiday, so there’s no mail, banks are closed, etc! Some of the comments were appalling… I’ll let you use your imagination 😖Those individuals demonstrated their ignorance and racism with their words. So in the spirit of education and promoting equity and justice, here’s an awesome link!

“On June 19, 1865, nearly two years after President Abraham Lincoln emancipated enslaved Africans in America, Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas with news of freedom. More than 250,000 African Americans embraced freedom by executive decree in what became known as Juneteenth or Freedom Day.”

We are absolutely in love with this HUGE c**t — he weighed in at 163 pounds a few hours after he was born 😮 Roxi is an absolute super hero for carrying & delivering him, and she is the BEST mom 🥰 She needed follow up care at the
veterinary hospital at Washington State University due to a retained placenta, so they spent the past several days there under superb care. We are so thrilled to have them home where Roxi is happy and Lyrik gets to explore and learn how to be a horse! He is sweet, curious, and has stolen our hearts 💕
