Here’s Vintage! You all deserve some updated photos of her. She really is a classy girl in so many ways.

As we get closer to May, we’re also getting closer to moving. It’s crazy to think about how much will change in such a short time. There are a lot of unknowns ahead, but one thing I’m sure of is that the Beagles will handle it with their usual grace and zero stress. That’s one of the amazing things about this breed and what drew us to them in the first place-carefree little hounds.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great weekend! If you recently reached out about a puppy, check your email. I have a lot of messages to reply to, and with tax season work hours I’ve fallen a bit behind - but I promise I’m not ignoring you!!

Can’t say how proud we are of these young girls! The improvements we see in them compared to their parents is a huge step in the direction we are hoping to steer our program in the future.

We now have TWO wildflower litter Champions woo woo!! We are so proud of these girls and what they have accomplished so far. It’s a crazy feeling having our first bred by champions and while we do think they are pretty much perfect (jk) we are also aware of their flaws and have many goals to improve in the next generation. Having a breeding program is like constantly time traveling between looking at the past via pedigrees to try and predict or mold the outcome of future dogs while also trying to stay very realistic about what your dogs have for strengths and weaknesses in the present. It can drive you a bit crazy! But it is quite honestly our favorite thing to mull over day after day.

Vintage and Posie will get to focus on more fun activities now! Like FastCat Trick titles and hopefully some scent work and other stuff once we move! When they turn two in September they will complete their final health tests. We have high hopes for these girlies I just adore them ❤️❤️

I love getting to let out my creative side via dog photography. I can’t draw or paint but man I love to take the dogs pretty places and try to capture the beauty of it all. Its fun to try new things with editing and angles and of course the dogs always keep it interesting 😂

Sweet Ophelia 🥰

I was telling someone at our last show how Ophelia (also called Phil) was actually named after the Lumineers song but I love that she also has the TSwift song now too both very catchy.

This girl reminds me more and more of her mom Demi as she grows sweeter and more calm with age. She really never does anything wrong other than relentlessly hunting squirrels lol

I can’t believe a year flew by just like that and that it’s also been a year since we had babies here 😭 but they all have grown up so wonderfully and are living beautiful lives with their families 💚💚

There are a bunch of CHARACTERS in this litter! We have sensitive man Winston, Sunny who rocks at obedience, lover boy Benedict 😜, miss Violet who is perhaps the quietest beagle alive and Mr Moss who actually loves to talk it seems 😂😂 and of course Dovie the klepto who is always sure to be attempting to steal something whether it’s socks or hearts depends on the day.

Watching them develop personalities and lives with their families IS the most fulfilling part of what we do I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Happy Birthday Eggie babies!!!

We had a great time at the Rose City Classic with the girl gang!

Posie got a 4 point major first day and Vinny landed select for a major toward her grand!
Ophelia was reserve to the major Friday and Saturday and then it was her turn for some points going BoW for a 5 point major on Sunday while Vintage went best of breed!

Lyra did amazing for her first show and took it all in stride literally! We saw some very promising movement in her moments of brilliance and are more excited than ever for the squirrels in her brain to mature a bit more 😂

We also got to reunite with Miss Siren (Hex from our Bewitched litter) and her mom Natalee! We watched her run 3 qualifying runs in scent work including a 5 second interior run!! And we’re incredibly proud of her for going High in Trial truly an awesome accomplishment for both of them

And lastly the three older girls Ophelia Vintage and Posie passed their eye exams!
All in all a wonderful time so great to see friends and family after a few months off

Kvell Beagles is relocating Summer 2026!

We have so greatly enjoyed our four years in WA with all the beauty the PNW has to offer and the lovely people we have met and brought into the Kvell family in that time. When we moved out here site unseen to pursue vet school for Jonah we had no idea what we were getting into! Thought we were going to be living in a Twilight movie but ended up in a bunch of wheat fields 😂 we embraced it as an adventure and have enjoyed every minute of it.

But it’s time for us to move back a little closer to family and also to a place we can afford land for our pack (our #1 priority) to expand and thrive! We even are missing the snow at this point! Crazy I know. Jonah had the opportunity to go work with this clinic for two weeks in November and it all felt meant to be. So when the contract came shortly later it wasn’t even a question!

What does this change for you guys? Hopefully not much! We will always be reachable as a resource for our puppy homes and anyone else who has questions. Although Poppy’s next litter 🤞will be the last in our current location we are always willing to work with homes across the country and conveniently will be only a short drive from the Minneapolis airport for any travel needs.
And as always I am happy to recommend other ethical breeders on the west coast if travel is not in the cards for you.
