Hard to believe that I’ve been able to get almost all of the 40 deer that I took in last fall mounted before the end of May! That’s a first for me! Working in the shop 6 days a week over the winter months has paid off.
I still have a couple bear rugs etc to work on but I’ll be able to work on them between camping and fishing trips. Stay tuned for pics of some more unique mounts that I’ll be working on in the near future.
Praying that all my clients have an enjoyable summer and I hope to see you again next fall!

These two challenging mounts went home today. Both are in the pose (and base) which was requested by the client. I changed the head position on the raccoon.

Wanting something different, my client requested this pose for his buck mount. First time I’ve done one of these. Was a bit challenging, in part because I replaced the head with a larger one, but I got it done.
On another note I was able to get 4 deer mounts put together this past week and I’m aiming to put 4 more together this coming week.

Yikes! They’re not all in this picture but I’ve never had 14 deer mounts put together and hanging in various stages at the same time before! Planning to put number 15 together tomorrow.
