Hi there,
Im a first time private burd owner and I have two lovebirds who were from a rescue shelter and their last owners used them for breeding, and I am not wanting to breed them. And the female has already laid two eggs. She's starting to get puffy and I do not want her to get eggbound. How would you help me to evade her being eggbound? Advice and your guidance? I change their cage regularly as to avoid any nesting. I can't seperate them since they're in the same cage. I can't always be present to prevent them from breeding. Should I try to get her out to move around more? she was playing with toys alot but she has been getting bigger yet she does running around angry at me when Im changing the cage because I had to dispose of two eggs already (this was so hard on me).
Peanut is the male and he's a cool little buddy. He comes out of the cage a lot unless to check on Desi (female). He seems to be a little stressed about her tho he doesn't want to bite me or anything like that.
I appreciate any of your help!!!!
Sincerely,
Joshua Smart
Will you be open tomorrow Saturday the 25th? I'm in desperate need of food.
