Welcome Dr. Christopher Korte to Pets & Friends!



Dr. Korte brings 27 years of veterinary experience—including 10 years in emergency medicine and surgery—and joins our team right here in Pueblo. Thanks to his expertise, we’re now offering advanced surgical procedures such as splenectomy, foreign-body removal, nephrectomy, cystotomy, gastropexy, and select orthopedic surgeries. Dr. Korte earned his DVM from the University of Missouri–Columbia and spent the last decade practicing emergency medicine and surgery in Colorado Springs.

Dear Valued Clients,
At Pets and Friends, we are always eager to provide the best care for your pets and offer excellent service to you. To help us maintain this level of service, we are instituting a non-refundable exam fee for no-shows, effective immediately.

We understand that life happens, so we kindly ask that if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment,please contact us via phone call or text at least 24 hours in advance. For appointments not confirmed at least 12 hours prior to your scheduled time, we will need to double-book your slot, and please be aware that we may not be able to accommodate you if you arive without confirming.

In the event of a no-show with out prior notice, the exam fee will be charged to your account.

We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us continue to provide the best care possible to all of our clients and their beloved pets
