As many of you already know, I’ll be heading out of town soon for my annual family trip to Winter Park and will be unavailable for the following dates…

Due to some complications my sister has endured since she underwent three hip surgeries earlier this year, her next set of surgeries for her other hip is still pending… As soon as we know the dates they’ll be scheduled, I’ll share more specific time off I’ll be planning to take for her!

𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲: Although this year has had its challenges, I’ve been so incredibly grateful and overwhelmed with how much my business continues growing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the patience, understanding, and compassion you all have provided me. I’ve also greatly appreciated so many of your reminders, the importance of taking time off to decompress 😉🩵

Miss Bella (my parents’ dog) has been scooting the last few days so she was my ultimate test of whether or not my wounded fingers would be ready to return to my a**l gland expression appointments 🤪

Granted, she’s such a good girl and hardly moved (she knows how much better she feels afterwards), but I discovered I’m ready! Although they were mildly difficult to express which made it slightly uncomfortable for me (they were both really full with thick consistency), I was able to do it and am ready to return for other pets who need their’s done 🤎

Thank you again to all of my clients I had to reschedule for such compassion and understanding that I had to! 🙏🏼

After saving a little dog from his much larger housemate last year, I really hoped I’d never have to experience that trauma again… It unfortunately happened yesterday while I was on a usual morning walk with the two dogs I’m watching for some friends up in Springs.

While on our walk and without hesitation or warning, an aggressive small-breed dog ran outside of its front door and attacked us. Little did he know, he’d dramatically lose a fight against two 70-pound dogs. Going against my better judgment (and what I tell others not to do), I attempted to save him, but got stuck in the crossfire. Assuming I was one of the two large dogs trying to hurt him, he pulled his neck back and chomped down on my fingers, drawing blood. While screaming for the owners to come out of their house, two men from down the street ran to my defense and helped. After the little dog was finally released, he wobbled to his yard and so sadly just fell over. I surely thought he was done for, but he survived and later underwent surgery. Thankfully the owners took full responsibility and knew that I was clearly not at fault.

Unfortunately their dog is not up to date on vaccines (including Rabies) so I rushed to the ER after making sure the dogs I’m watching were okay. The nurse reported the incident to DHS and the dog will be closely monitored at home for the next ten days.

Although I’m okay and all dogs survived, these dangerous and scary situations could so easily be prevented. I originally wasn’t going to share this publicly (partly because my fingers hurt lol), but I hope it serves as a reminder of the importance of vaccinating your animals and keeping them in safe, secure homes with ZERO escape opportunities. Apparently the little dog’s owners keep their front door open all the time…

Sadly, I’ve had to reschedule some of my jobs (especially a**l gland expressions because my “good finger” got it the worst 🤪) so thank you to those I’ve spoken to already for your kind understanding! I plan to slightly take it easier until this nasty finger heals up with antibiotics lol so I’m sorry in advance to those who may need me for any immediate services.

Your absence on our walk today left me in tears, but your warm presence was felt even though it was cold…

Thank you, sweet boy for providing me one year’s worth of giggles and for reminding me to enjoy every small detail in life. Yes, that includes the excitement of any and all plant material that blows by 😂🍂

Look over your loving family, Ralph and don’t be jumpin’ on any angels up there… We’ll all be sure to meet you at our spot at the end of the road someday 🥲

2025 has been a heavy year for my family and it hasn’t helped having to cancel so many of my jobs due to weather and lingering flu symptoms. If there’s one thing I’ve learned as a business owner, it’s the importance of overcoming guilt and the fear of letting people down. Although I still struggle with that every day and likely always will, I have come so far thanks to the patience, compassion, and understanding from all of my clients during this challenging season of life. I truly couldn’t do any of this without those of you who have chosen me to help you with your homes and animals 🤍

My therapist recently told me, “𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥, 𝙩𝙤𝙤, 𝘼𝙗𝙗𝙮…”.

Although I wouldn’t categorize myself as “going above and beyond” for anyone lol (I just do my best), I know a lot of people who do and may need to hear those words as well. I hope they serve as a good reminder for you, too 🙂

I know there’s so much greatness ahead for my business and I’m sure looking forward as well to an eventual smooth and consistent routine! 😅👌🏼👏🏼 Thank you again to all of you for hangin’ in there with me.

I’ve been no longer accepting new clients for overnight petsitting so I’ve been happily providing three drop-in visits per day for these beauties! 🐰🐕 This sweet new client was so nervous to leave them alone overnight for two nights, but we’ve discovered how well they actually do 🙂

I’ll be uploading a template soon of what all is included during these visits (includes weekly recurring visits) so stay tuned to find out if they would benefit your home and pets, too! 🏡🐾

𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲: So many animals do wonderful without consistent overnight care, while others do not and often require it. I’ll never try convincing owners to see how their pets do without it, especially if they suffer from separation anxiety and/or medical concerns. You know your pets best and I’ll always respect that! 🤎
