Hi. I'm Maddie. I am a COURTESY post for SWAT. They can't tell you much about me so don't ask here. I'll tell you what I can, and you can call Lisa for the rest. She will be doing telephone interviews to help me find my Forever.
Now, on to the SWAT requirements. I am a 6 year old, Standard Poodle. I am spayed, up to date on vacs and ready to move in. My family dynamics have changed so it was just easier for me to pack my bags. But, before you get all Poodle passionate, remember, I'm a bit of a dazzling diva. I need regular grooming; something to consider. I am looking for a Forever home this time. Lisa is helping me. If you have other questions, please give her a call. 918-864-9662

After 110 days of waiting…

I finally did it—I found my forever family!

It’s hard to believe that just a few months ago, I was lost in the woods, scared and alone. Some kind humans found me and made sure I was safe, and I’ll never forget them for that. Then I met my amazing foster mom and dad, who gave me love, food, toys, and a cozy place to sleep while I waited for “my people.” They told me every day that my time would come—and they were right.

Today, I got my “Happy Adoption Day” cake, hopped in the car, and headed off with my brand-new family. They already love me, and I can tell this is where I belong.

To everyone who helped me get here—thank you for believing in me and giving me a chance. I may not understand every word, but I sure do understand love.

Here’s to forever. Love,
Rook

This guy has shown up near Claremore. He's an older gentleman, wearing a too tight collar. If you know him or his family, please respond to the thread and we'll put them in touch with the finder. Always check your pet's collar, especially if he/she is under 6 months old. You should be able to put two fingers between the collar and their neck. Do make sure it's tight enough that they can't slip out but I can't imagine something pressing against my throat 24/7! This dog's collar has been removed to give him some breathing room but will be returned when family is found.

The amount of shares and reactions on this post is incredible, but he’s still waiting for an application. He hasn’t received one yet.
This boy is lovable, neutered, and ready to go. His adoption fee is $30. That’s for a happy, healthy puppy!

They told me if I dressed up like a pumpkin, my forever family might finally notice me… so here I am — the happiest little Halloween pup you’ll ever meet! I’ve been waiting since JUNE for my people. I promise I’ll be the sweetest treat you could ever take home. ~Rook

Today marks 102 days since I started waiting for my forever family. That’s a whole summer gone by — the hot days, the fireworks, the storms, and now the falling leaves. I’ve been such a good boy through it all. I wag my tail, I smile for pictures, I give my best puppy-dog eyes, and I keep hoping someone will see me and say, “That’s him. That’s our boy.”

I’m not in a shelter — I’m lucky enough to be in a foster home, but it’s not forever. My foster mom says I’m sweet, goofy, and love to play. I’m also really good at cuddling (I take that job seriously).

But every time another dog gets picked, I watch them go home and I wonder — when will it be my turn?

If you’ve got room in your heart and home, I promise I’ll fill both with love, loyalty, and laughter. I just need one chance.

102 days waiting. Maybe today is the day my forever family finds me.

COURTESY POST
UPDATE: Jewel's Shelter humans tell us that she is good with other dogs. This is what they said when they walked her through the cat room: "when I took her in by the cats she was very curious and walking up slow to cages to smell. Then one hissed at her and she turned her head real slow and walked back and stood against my leg ready to leave the room."
This is Jewel. Jewel is in lock up at the Rockin' G Animal shelter. I went there to visit her last week. She is every bit her name; such a jewel! Her family abandoned her at the shelter. Unfortunately, they didn't care enough about her to have her on heartworm prevention. She IS heartworm positive. DON'T LET THAT SCARE YOU! Simple fix. She is on the slow-kill. You take her home, you love her, you give her meds twice a month and WALA, in about 3 months, have her retested. If it isn't negative then (and it probably will be), test again in another 3 months. Administering the meds are quick and easy. We will pay for the medication for her adopter. Let's get Jewel out of the Shelter. Go meet her, give her a hug and let her know you'll be there Forever
