Hi all,

I know it's been awhile since we last posted, but it's been a challenging year reflecting, and after many heartfelt and hard conversations, we have come to the difficult decision to put our dream of opening Cafe Gato on hold.

As passionate as we are about bringing Cafe Gato to life, we have gone back and forth for awhile now and, unfortunately, the timing isn't right for us. There are many reasons for why we came to this decision, and its been incredibly hard for us to dedicate the time and energy this dream of opening a cat cafe truly deserves, which is not fair to all of you.

Writing this is very hard for us, and we won't lie and say that we didn't delay posting this, as sharing this news with you all feels surreal and the hardest thing we've had to do.

We are immensely grateful for all the love, support, encouragement, and belief you all have had for us throughout this process. It means more than words can express. We thank you all for everything - every share, every follow, every word of encouragement, truly everything. We couldn't have made it this far without it. Until nextime.

Hi everyone,

Today is the last day of our Kickstarter and, although we came in short from our goal, we want to thank every single one of you for your sharing, contributing, and overall support throughout this process.

Although we will not receive any funding from the Kickstarter as we fell short from our goal, we have learned so much and grown from this entire process. We have created awesome merch that many of you were excited to see, we were able to reach more people and spread the word of what we are working to bring to the city, and the biggest thing is we learned from mistakes we made throughout this process and are going to grow from them.

In all honesty, the timing of this Kickstarter was rough. With the craziness that has gone on these past couple months along with the holiday season coming up, this was definitely not the best time to do a crowdfunding campaign.

With all this being said, the two of us need to take some time to explore other funding options to make this dream possible. We are so grateful for all the love and support and will continue to work to bring Cafe Gato to life. We are NOT giving up 💕😺🫶

Hi all,

We wanted to provide you all an update on our Kickstarter and how it's going. If we are being honest, we are nowhere close to our goal and only have 11 days left. As impossible as it feels at this point, we aren't giving up.

We appreciate all the shares and feedback from you all on how to get additional support and have been doing the best we can at this point. After our 9-5 jobs, our nights have been non-stop working on things for this business.

We understand how crazy the timing is right now - with the election, a lot of layoffs happening right now, and the overall state of the economy, we can't lie and say this is a great time for a Kickstarter campaign and hey, we are learning from this.

But if you can, please think about supporting us in this campaign. We have some amazing rewards available that we have worked very hard on. Thank you to all the kind people that have shared or backed us at this point. We are so grateful for you all.

Hi everyone,

We wanted to provide you all an update on our Kickstarter now that we are a little over a week into it. Unfortunately, we are seeing very little traction and are only 7% to our goal. Kickstarter campaigns are all or nothing, meaning if we do not hit our goal, we will not receive any funding to help us bring Cafe Gato to Providence.
