Today is one of those days you wish you could just stay in bed. Nobody likes this (except for Berry). Sideway rains, inches of water gushing by in the street, sidewalks that are standing puddles. We're all soaked to the bone. But the dogs need to get out, so here we all are!

A crisp fall day allows us to play the age old game of what's under the leaves? A nice clean walk in the woods or a path riddled with p**p bombs?

Because of the heat wave, we are taking it easy on walks for the rest of the week. This means Frankie and I had some alone time today. I think he was happy.

Aggie is posing in front of the Rochambeau marker. She wanted to bring attention to muzzle awareness. Normalize the use of muzzles. Muzzles are a normal tool used for many reasons. They are there to help keep the dog safe, or other people and dogs safe or even the handler. Do not stigmatize the dog or handler for using a muzzle. It doesn't mean the dog is evil or unsafe or unfit to be in public.

For Aggie, she is wearing it until her training takes over as she likes to eat everything on the ground and doesn't like going to the emergency vet. For other dogs, they may be fearful or aurosed or nervous and the muzzle protects them or their handler. If more people used muzzles, there would be far less unfortunate incidents. And a good dog might not get blamed for a poor decision of a human.
