Who we are: We are a local nonprofit of innovators and pioneers in Local Composting Solutions. Yes, we are THE Experts!
And we are asking for donations to keep doing what we do (see below for how you can donate now, it's tax deductible)...

Our Mission: Make Composting Options and Know-How Accessable to EVERYBODY.

Our Goal: To eliminate barriers that keep people from saving food scraps for composting.

How we Operate: We do not charge residents for doing the right thing! Everyone can compost with us, and still get compost in return! Yet we know our work is valued, and we need donations to continue!

Milestones: First Year-Round, Full-Service Compost Depot Drop-Off Site (2013), First Social Enterprise Registered Community Compost Facility (2018), First to compost Half a Million Pounds of organics in PVD (and closing in on 1M). First Urban Community Composter (Patented in 2018). We wrote the book on local and urban composting which is now being promoted by the City of PVD!!

We use Earth Appliance Compost Facility to do training! Completed 2 HS internships this past Spring. Now focusing on putting the board together to run the nonprofit. Did you hear that The Community Compost Depot is now a registered nonprofit!? We are all about empowering the community to take control of their own organics. Local leaders would do a good service to their communities by checking out how to compost locally. It's possible, it's beneficial and it's happening, now.

Compost For Sale! Made with the help of our interns in their year-long Community Compost Training, from collecting food scraps and mixing with leaves, maintaining an active pile, through to sitting and bagging, they learned it all! As an enterprising end to their first year internship, we put together a special label this year, "Return It 2 Earth: Premium Compost! (c)."
