The team had a FABULOUS weekend at the NCQHA Endless Summer show, hosted by District V. In addition to supporting the “Lope for Hope” breast cancer benefit in style, the team brought home 8 Circuit Championships and (at least) 38 points! 🏆 🤠 This is one of the most fun, exhibitor focused shows of the year - thanks to all who work so hard to put it on!

Acorn Show Horses had a wonderful time at the NCQHA Little River Circuit! Susan Daniels and her team did a fantastic job putting on this event, especially given the heat 🥵

It’s a family affair at Acorn Show Horses - we want to give a shout out to Lila Assur for all the time and training she is putting into her amazing little 2-year old gelding Rio! Developing a young prospect is not an easy task! 🤠 Keep it up, Lila!

Gus had a light weekend as Jean was busy with her clients, yet he still showed up and placed Top 5 of 19 in Open Working Western Rail both days and threw in some very solid ranch trail runs fresh out of his stall! Good boy, Gus!!!!

2019 16 hh.AQHA, APHA, PHBA, NSBA gelding. Gus. He would make an amazing all around horse for a talented amateur or youth. He's has been shown primarily in the Ranch rail and the Ranch trail. He would excel in the showmanship. He can go english or western. Eq or horsemanship. PHBA world and multiple reserve world champion. AQHA world show qualified in Ranch rail. Xx,### starts with a 4. We made a run up to Cazenovia NY to Jean Sears Haller brother RE Sears place Sears Performance Horses and Jean and RE put on a reining and ranch riding clinic. The clients were awesome. Everyone had a ton of try and we saw noticeable improvements in every horse and rider team. Thank you to RE and the Sears Performance Horses team for hosting. And a huge thanks to the clients for investing your time and energy.

The team just wrapped up the weekend at the VQHA National Stock Show and they were HOT - in more ways than one! ☀️ 🏆 🥵
A few special achievements to note:

🏆 Meghan Palombo & Georgie took the Amateur Ranch High Point Award, with lots of wins in ranch riding, ranch trail… and holding their own in the open rail class in the top 5! This team is on fire! 🔥 🤠 🔥

⭐️ Colleen Plaugher & Fancy had multiple wins and top placings in the Ranch division, but I am so proud of this pair for stepping out of their comfort zone into Showmanship! This weekend saw one of their best performances with a 4th in a large class and their most complicated pattern to date. Fancy is getting fancy! 🤩

🦄 Ellen Miles & Emma Jean snagged a win in the rookie ranch riding and many top threes across the weekend, but we are just super pleased with how this young mare is maturing as a show horse! Her confidence continues to grow with every good experience 💗 EJ also took 1st and 2nd in the Junior Ranch riding with Jean!

💥 Claire Assur and Duke debuted at their first AQHA show together with great success! This duo pulled wins in a very competitive Rookie Youth Ranch Riding and Youth Ranch Trail. Most impressive was witnessing Claire’s horsemanship grow over the weekend; there is a bright future ahead for this team!

🥇 Josie Helton & Dreamsicle were definitely a dream team, putting themselves at the top of their Halter and Showmanship classes on Friday - well done!!! In their first season of showing Ranch, this pair is off to a fantastic start and we are excited to help them continue to develop!

I'm so PROUD of these ladies and their horses! We all had a lot going on and honestly it was a little tough getting to the AQHA Level-1 East Championship show BUT we made it. Being stalled in a tent when it was supposed to rain and be windy and cold the whole time we were there wasn't what anyone wanted either. But God took care of us and gave us some pretty nice weather and so much to be grateful for!

4th in Rookie Am Ranch Riding
10th in the L1 Am Ranch Riding
🎉Oh and she pointed out of Rookie Ranch Trail at her first show with Georgie this year. So glad she won that class because she wasn't getting a second chance. 🎉

🌟 Colleen Plaugher and Cee Me Shining
6th in the L1 Select Ranch Riding. She also had a really nice go in the L1 Am trail but was just out of the placings. Colleen loves and maintains this mare at home in WV.

🦄 Ellen Miles and Shirley Shes Metalic
7th in the Rookie Reining
This was their first attempt at this class. They may not have had a perfect pattern but I think a fire has been lit and this will be a new favorite for this team. They also had good rides in the Ranch Riding and Trail. This young mare and Ellen are “Shirley” on their way to some great rides in the future.
