Meet Porgy, the oh-so-handsome German Shorthaired Pointer with a heart full of wag and a personality that will leave you feeling like you might have met the nicest dog in the world. This dashing lad is more than just good looks – he's got enough charm to make anyone weak in the knees. This poor chap came to us looking more like Jack Skellington than a robust pooch. We’ve been working on putting some meat back on his bones, but he could stand to pack on some more pounds.
Porgy is the ultimate adventurer and loves exploring the great outdoors. After all, who needs a boring old GPS when you've got this four-legged explorer leading the way? Whether it's sniffing out hidden treasures or trail hiking with gusto, Porgy is always up for an exciting expedition. The volunteers say he is an absolute peach🍊 to walk over at Hidden Rock park.
Porgy is a genuine nice guy with a love of treats and some hugs. Porgy could use some brushing up on his training as his excitement at seeing people and food overrides his brain. It’s actually very charming to witness in person as he goes from a need for snacks to a need for love in the firing of one neuron 🧠. He’s like a canine racquetball🏓 . Gotta cut him some slack, he’s only about 8-months old, still a just pupper. With his intelligence and food drive we think he’s gonna make a wonderful Gooch Pooch for a very lucky person(s).
