We would like to make a post in remembrance of not only everyone who lost their lives to the horrific events of 9/11, but also the 300 rescue dogs that fought along side first responders. We would like to spotlight one dog in particular, a Golden Lab named Sirius. When the attacks began Sirius’s handler brought him to his kennel in the South Tower. His handler then went to go help people. He got trapped when the North Tower fell and was unable to get to Sirius. Sirius is the only confirmed K-9 death to have occurred on 9/11. We have a picture of him in our Lobby with some information about his life underneath. Feel free to look at it anytime.
