🌟 FVTA Board Member Nominations Are Coming to an End get your Nominations in before it’s too late🌟

The Florida Veterinary Technician Association is now accepting nominations for upcoming board positions. This is a great opportunity to get involved, grow as a leader, and help shape the future of our profession in Florida.

We are currently seeking nominations for the following positions:

• President-Elect
• Treasurer-Elect
• Corresponding Secretary

Serving on the FVTA Board allows you to advocate for veterinary technicians, support continuing education, strengthen professional connections, and contribute to the advancement of our field statewide.

📅 Nomination deadline: March 21, 2026

🗳️ Elections: April 1 through April 30 via an emailed survey sent to eligible members

Newly elected officers will assume their positions at the following FVTA board meeting in May.



President-Elect Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of the President in their absence or disability
• Assist the President as assigned
• Forward inquiries to the appropriate Executive Board member
• Present a report at the annual membership meeting if requested
• Automatically succeed to the office of President at the end of the term



Treasurer-Elect Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of the Treasurer during their absence or disability
• Perform duties as assigned by the Treasurer
• Forward inquiries to the appropriate Executive Board member
• Present a report at the annual membership meeting if requested
• Automatically succeed to the office of Treasurer at the end of the term without the formality of an election



Corresponding Secretary Responsibilities

• Send correspondence to FVTA members and other organizations
• Notify all new Executive Board and Advisory Board members of their appointment
• Forward inquiries to the appropriate Executive Board member
• Provide a report at the annual membership meeting if requested
