As this has become a pattern recently, with some clients being fired, I feel this is a post that, unfortunately, must be made. We do not tolerate abuse or disrespect of any kind towards our staff and team members. This is and has always been a non-negotiable principle of the practice from the first day we opened.

We understand the concern when an animal is sick. Unfortunately, we are not an emergency clinic and are unable to provide all the services and support that an emergency clinic can. This is why we recommend emergency hospitals when we are unable to assist, whether due to us being understaffed, not having the proper equipment, not having adequate time to devote the necessary care that may be required, or other reasons.

There are some emergencies that we can see, if we are able, but the overwhelming majority of urgently or critically ill pets, and almost all emergencies are referred to an emergency location for them to receive the best quality care possible. During emergencies, we always provide clients with the option to reschedule for another time, or if they would like, they can wait and we will see them as quickly but thoroughly as possible.

With emergencies, we do not know how long intervention will take. Given the extended waiting times which may be experienced, our clients are always welcome to reschedule as your time is valuable & life waits for no one.

After brief evaluation, if it is determined that the pet is stable enough, we will still do our best to have you seen that day. If this is on a work-in basis, it may be an extended wait due to the unpredictable nature of medicine. Being that we are also a small organization, it is not possible for us to see everyone at the same time or potentially the same day.

We strive to provide the highest quality of care to those entrusted to us. While the overwhelming majority of our clients are very wonderful and understanding of the limitations of being a one doctor practice, as stated above, no level of disrespect or abuse towards my staff will be tolerated.

The staff at Capps Vet Clinic are the backbone of this practice. Without them, I would not be able to perform my job nearly as effectively as I am able to now. While we still have a few wrinkles to iron out with overall efficiency, the team is the support structure that holds us up and the ones who will stay late, go the extra miles, and work their hardest every day to make sure that our pets are receiving the best possible care.

We love you all & cannot thank you enough for your support.
