Mr. Sancho, the tiny Chihuahua, has FINALLY decided to come out of his crate. I leave it open at times to give him the choice. Meanwhile, Millie and Sasha, the two Dachshunds, can't seem to explore enough and Bluey is FINALLY learning to give them their space.
Sadly for PCC, we note that Sally, the wonderful black and white Pitty and her younger housemate, Riff, the little red Pitty, are leaving us😭. They're moving far away on to new horizons and adventures. Sally especially, is very special to me. She came here very aggressive and protective of her little bro Riff, but was also very loving with me. She quickly learned I did not appreciate the aggression and taught herself self-control out of respect for me. Whenever she got the urge to fight - even if the other dog initiated the aggression, more times than not, she suppressed it in her own and would give herself a time-out in her crate while crying and looking at me as if to tell me "You see... I'm being good!". She would not leave the crate unless I acknowledged her and called her to come out. She did all this with 0 input from me whatsoever. She did it all out of love and respect - a very smart and special dog! We wish them and their family Godspeed on their move and future. Y'all will be sorely missed!
