It doesn't look like much right now, but this will hopefully be a very productive strawberry patch next year!

Just planted 50 bare root strawberry plants along the south side of my house. Half of them are June bearing and the other half are ever bearing, so in theory I will get a really big crop right at the beginning of the season and then still get some for fresh eating throughout the summer.

Have you ever planted bare root plants before? Did they grow well for you?

I absolutely LOVE dandelions! They're the first flower we see every spring - such a beautiful bright yellow against the deep green of fresh grown grass. Just the thing I need for my soul after a long, hard, cold, gray winter.

They are fully edible - the flowers can be made into wine, lemonade, jelly and more! The greens can be eaten with other greens in a salad. They're also medicinal! The flowers can make a super useful medicinal balm or lotion and the roots are powerful in medicinal teas and decoctions.

I think they are beautiful and useful flowers, not weeds that need to be poisoned out of your lawn. If you disagree, please tell me why! I simply don't understand.

Farm fresh eggs and ground beef with a little butter and cheddar cheese for dinner.

Did you know adding butter to plain ground beef actually makes a huge difference!? It adds enough moisture and flavor to the beef to make it actually palatable lol. I'm not going so strict that I'm not using seasonings, but a lot of folks on the carnivore diet will literally only use salt to season their food 😵‍💫 Plain seasoned ground beef is plain enough for me already 😆

Fast fashion is literally destroying our planet. Throwing clothes away after wearing them a handful of times, buying new every season because some celebrity says that's the only way to be fashionable, synthetic fibers made from plastic and petroleum - all of this is detrimental to the health of our planet.

Fur was designed and made by God. It's durable, sustainable and humane. It's how our planet was designed to function.
