Here's an update on the death wallow we came across last bear season. It looks like the moose didn't go to waste. I had cameras at this spot all fall and saw only coyotes but suspect bears had something to do with it as well. I did a little cruise around the area and some of the wallows are being used right now. Every wallow has at least 1 bear marker and some have multiple. I put cams on 3 of them so stay tuned...

Bushwhacking for Brookies, I'd forgotten how beautiful this stream is. Lots of fish including a couple brutes that didn't make it to hand. The scenery is worth the experience, the fishing is a bonus.

The mile hike in through mature woods to reach the top of the quick water was half of the adventure. Narrow gorge's, waterfalls, high banks, deer and 1 big Otter all under towering Pine and Hemlock. Twice I jumped the Otter while it was hunting under water, the second time he surfaced at my feet as I was tossing a small trout back. He bailed from the stream and took off through the woods.
