Happy New Years Eve!! I hope everyone has had a great holiday season and made some great memories!!?
With the new year around the corner, I have a few things that will be happening at D’Shed this next year. First of all, I am proud to introduce you all to Ryleigh, my new bather extraordinaire!! I am sure most of you have met her, but if not this is what to expect from her. 1.) She is kind and loves dogs! 2.) She can wash a dog better than myself😳 3.) She is excellent at toenail trims and had her own mobile toenail trimming business. 4.) She plans to stay on for a long while!! YAY!!

Next, I will be doing a few improvements to the shop. Hopefully it will make the large and extra large dog grooming experience much more convenient and pleasant for groomer and dog. I won’t be divulging what exactly it is Im planning on doing until the unveiling. Just know it should work much easier.

With new things coming, I also will need to raise some prices. I will be coming up on my 3rd year of being in this location, and I have not raised prices at all. Mostly because I wanted to keep things affordable for all of you. However, as I may have stayed the same, other things have gone up. Including other dog grooming businesses in and around our area. I need to stay close to them or some may start to question “why” I’m so low.? At the moment I am about $20 lower on my small dog grooms, than even petco. I want to try and even out prices of the other medium and large breeds as well so that we are on a better “all over” price plan.

Finally, the next couple of months may become a bit inconsistent as far as when Im open. This is due to some health issues Ryleigh and I need to address and get healed so when spring comes, we will be right and ready to tackle those dirty pups!! I might be looking at hand surgery so I may be down for a few weeks? I will let you all know exactly, when I know myself.

We look forward to a very exciting and busy new year, and I can’t wait to see you on your next appointment!! I can’t thank you all enough for being such loyal customers and amazing friends!!💜💜❤️❤️🐾🐕

Yep, this is what it looks like when the power goes out and we are waiting and hoping it comes back on😱 unfortunately, yesterday was not our day and we had a dog and a half left! YIKES!! Thank goodness we had dog #2’s parents come with a blanket since we just finished a bath and had no dryers. It was actually much darker in the shop than the picture shows.

It’s been a crazy busy summer this year!! I know we still have plenty of warm days ahead but school is almost here again which signals, “fall”.
At least it does for me😁. My schedule is starting to free up a bit but still booked out a couple weeks. With people starting to pre-book (YAY!!) the spots will start filling further out. PLUS this means more “forgotten” appointments. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE write down your appointment, put it in your phone, take one of my cards and pin it in the refrigerator…..anything to remember. I schedule according to size and if I am going to have help that day. Lots of times if I am going to be alone, I will only book a few if there are big dogs on the books for that day. If you miss then I can’t get you in later that day, usually because I have others. Plus it cuts down on the money I need to make for that day. I HATE it when Dr. offices charge a missed appointment fee so I don’t want to do that. So far I am ok without it and I really really don’t want to do that to everyone. Please just call me even the day before if you can’t make it. I understand that life happens, and I won’t be upset. Then I can plan accordingly. THANKS!!!!❤️
Now I haven’t put pics up in awhile so here’s some great grooms this summer….enjoy!!❤️❤️

Well looks like D’Shed will be walking in the parade again this year. We walked and had a truck drive, the first year I was open, to get my name out there. Haven’t done it since, but I have a super customer who offered to ride her little scooter thing in the parade for Timber Days and advertise for D’Shed with her little dog. So I scheduled the day off and I think Yoshi and I will walk with her. If I had thought about it more I could have had more customers walk with us with their dogs. There’s always next year??
Hope to see you there!! Saturday morning.

This right here!!! I so much agree!!!!🐶🩷🐶🩷🐶

Corgis are important not just for sheep and cattle🩵

Corgis are important not just for sheep and cattle🩵

Did You Know… Welsh Fairies Rode Corgis Into Battle? 🧚‍♂️🐾

June 24 is International Fairy Day — a date chosen because it falls near Midsummer, when the boundary between our world and theirs is said to be at its thinnest.

In Welsh folklore, the Tylwyth Teg — the mysterious and enchanting Fair Folk — were said to ride into battle on the backs of corgis. Small but swift, these fairy steeds were loyal companions and fierce fighters, perfectly sized for their supernatural riders.

Even the name “corgi” may hint at this magical origin. Cor means “dwarf” and gi means “dog” in Welsh — making corgi the “dwarf dog,” or as some like to call it, the “dog of the fairies.”

And if you’ve ever noticed the faint dark markings across a corgi’s shoulders, take a closer look. Folklore calls it the fairy saddle — a lasting trace of their time in the service of the Tylwyth Teg.

So today, if you pass a corgi, be polite. It might not be alone... 🐾✨
