Introducing our Chicago Cubs litter!
They are 6 weeks old (born Feb 3rd)
Meet Gracie (our only girl) and Wrigley, Ryno, Sammie, Kyle (boys).

They are terrier mixes and we believe they will be small dogs when fully grown but we cannot guarantee size or breed. They are all current on age appropriate vaccinations, will be microchipped & spayed/neutered before going to their forever homes.

Gracie - is a diva, very vocal & believes that all humans & other animals should be paying attention to her at all times.

Wrigley - is a little potato who loves to climb, snuggle, & rough house with his brothers.

Ryno - is a little shy & loves kisses

Kyle - is a bit of a bully, has a tude & loves to explore

Sammie - absolutely adores sitting in a human's lap to snuggle.

Adopt a Greyhound Month
Five Fun Facts About Greyhounds
1. Greyhounds are not always “gray”! According to the AKC, a Greyhound's smooth coat can come in a variety of colors; brown, black and white, blue, brindle, tri-colored, bi-colored, and many more.
2. They are one of the oldest dog breeds. Archaeological experts have found Greyhound like depictions in cave paintings dating back almost 8,000 years ago!
3. Greyhounds are so sleepy! Greyhounds on average spend 16-18 hours a day sleeping, compared to an average dog’s 10 to 12 hours.
4. Greyhounds don’t need glasses, they have great eyesight. Greyhounds are part of the ‘sighthound’ or ‘gazehound’ family of dogs. In fact, the name ‘Greyhound’ is theorized to have come from the mispronunciation of ‘gazehound’ when the breed began to spread from Greece to England.
5. Greyhounds have a unique gait, making them one of the fastest dog breeds around. They share the same gait style as the Cheetah, called the ‘double suspension gallop”. Their deep chest and lean body is perfect for max speeds which on record are from 40 - 45 mph.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and that means there may be more chocolate in the house. It's crucial to be mindful of the potential dangers chocolate poses to our pets and keep it out of reach.

Chocolate contains theobromine, a compound that dogs process much more slowly than humans. Even small amounts can cause symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and an increased heart rate, while larger amounts can lead to more severe health issues. Since theobromine is found in cacao, chocolates with higher cacao content, like dark chocolate and baking chocolate, are especially toxic to pets.

This sweet girl did not have a lot of outward dental disease but she had a good bit of plaque build up, gingivitis and some deep gingival pockets. She also had some fabric stuck deep into the sulcus of her pre-molar tooth that was causing quite the odor.
If your pet has not had a professional dental cleaning within the past year, reach out to your veterinarian and see if your pet is due.
