Luna is safe today because someone chose to give her a chance.

This beautiful girl was scheduled to be euthanized at a local shelter due to “quality of life” concerns. The reality? Luna was simply overwhelmed and deeply stressed living in a kennel environment. When we saw her, we knew she deserved the opportunity to decompress, feel safe, and finally experience the good life.

Since coming into rescue, Luna has shown us just how loving she truly is. She has a gentle heart, adores people, and has a special soft spot for kids. Her favorite place right now is curled up somewhere cozy, catching up on the rest she didn’t get in the shelter.

Luna is still learning that the world is a safe place. She will thrive in a patient home that will help her gradually build confidence and learn that things like crates and new environments aren’t overwhelming. With kindness, routine, and reassurance, she has all the potential to blossom into an incredibly loyal companion.

What Luna needs most is someone willing to give her time, understanding, and love.

If you’ve been looking for a sweet soul who just needs a soft place to land, Luna might be your girl. 💛

⚠️ Do you love dogs!? Do you love to sew? Do you love to talk with people and pet dogs while talking about DOGS!?

THE PLAID BADGER is looking for individuals interested in helping with:

🐾 Production - light sewing work, and fraying bandanas-- possibly leading to more work. Items are paid by the piece upon completion. Priority will be given to individuals residing near Prairie Village.

🐾Event Help- help run the booth. The individual needs to love pets, be friendly, and willing to learn.

All positions are paid.
