Summerhill Stables & Summer Valley Equestrian Center Welcome to Summerhill Stables and the Stables at Norwood in beautiful Powhatan, Virginia Welcome to Summerhill Stables!

This is also the home of our sister barn, The Stables at Norwood. Both of our barns are owned and operated by Joe Hairfield, who has been an active member of the equine community for over 20 years. Our main priority is to make you and your horse as happy as possible while offering you both a quiet and relaxing environment. We cater to all equine lovers from competitive hunter, jumper, and dressage

riders to those who just want to trail ride on the weekend or groom on older horses. Outside trainers are welcome to come to either of our barns, yet we do not require that you take lessons. We have experience caring for horses at all stages of life and do not hesitate to take on retirees or sensitive show horses.

I am so excited about all the exciting and innovative plans for Belmead Riding Club that are scheduled to come to fruition in the near future. We are so blessed that this beautiful and rare piece of property was bought by a family that wants to share all that it has to offer with the local equestrian community. 💖🐎
